it's absolutely dead but was fun the 2 weeks it was alive

typical case of "shoot & forget" not a single update in months

I can't see why people are so mad at this game. If you wanna feel like a scuffed indiana jones in the world of doom, you gonn be pretty happy. ooor if you wanna feel like an evil genius and wanna see everyone die in your burial site..mmh

It's a niche game in its early states but cmon.. it's innovative and has a lot of potential

I was worried about the levels being too easy because humans are so unbelievable smart but I was astounded by the complexity of some levels. Ofc most maps are created by simple minded monkeys..

There are moments when you enter the burial site and go like: "yup, that's a genius base..gonn' be hard"

I FEEL SCAMMED; THIS GAME NEEDS A COUPLE OF YEARS

Sadly it's one of the worst games I've ever played. DON'T BUY NOW.

"The Forest" came out in 2014 and was waaaay better than this 2023 game.
Arguably "The Forest" is one of the best survival games ever and I REALLY THOUGHT sons of the forest would be at least a COPIED & PASTED "The Forest" with additions. (just like Call of Duty and Battlefield)

BUT IT'S WAY LESS THAN THAT, in 9 years they managed to:
-Building
-Survival
-Atmosphere, I don't know what's missing but it doesn't feel like "The Forest" at all
-Cave design
-Story design
-No boss fight
-Less enemy variety
-NPC's are real weird (tbf there were no friendly NPC's in The Forest)
-Story is unbelievable bad nothing makes sense
-Awkward and senseless cut scenes
-Quality of life
-Only 11 caves; at least 5 of them are only 60 square feet
