Software:
Really straightforward and bug free. Everything worked exactly as the instructions described and I had PSVR2 setup on my PC in 5 minutes. I see a lot of people complaing about the controller connectivity, but I had none of that personally. I am using my motherboards own Bluetooth with an external antenna.

Hardware:
You put the PSVR2 on and it works, straight in to gaming, no bs. Image quality is superb, fov is very wide, adjustability is great. Very easy setup, no batteries, no Meta trying to shove their junk down your throat. Compared to this, the Quest 2 feels like a flatpanel monitor from 2005. Not even once in 3 years I had an experience where my Q2 would just work after I put it on and try to connect to the PC. None of that with the PSVR2. Some minus points for the standard PSVR2 headstrap being a bit cumbersome to use and leaving a mark on your forehead after longer use.

If you play in VR keep waiting... They should not be allowed to put a VR-tag in steam if the game is non-functional with the most popular VR-headsets in the world. I know it's early access, but early access should still be functional.

I despise KUNOS for not having any mod support. I don´t see how this can ever replace the original AC if Kunos does not let people to mod the game. It is such an integral part of the experience for any game, and at this point it should be pretty clear to every publisher and developer that only games with long term mod support survive the test of time. Look at games likes Cities: Skylines, Skyrim, and Minecraft.

Edit 28.11.2025: Many months have passed. VR is still barely functional, looks significantly worse than the original AC and breaks randomly with a Meta Quest 2. I wish I could refund.

Edit 11.12.2025: Hype update 0.4, and this still works like garbage in VR.

Edit 23.1.2026: Managed to fix my VR experience by forcing DLSS 4.5 with Nvidia app and by enabling static LOD in the settings. Also upgraded to a PSVR2 from Q2. Needles to say I can´t recommed the game in such a state to anyone.

After initial impression the bugs get overwhelming and honestly make the game feel very unfinished. Can't really recommend a game at this stage. I hope they fix the issues as it seems like it has potential to be very good.

Okay I can say a bit more :D I have played all the trackmania games since the very very first "beta" TM that only had canyon environment.

This is a solid trackmania experience with a LOT of additions and improvements. (some features have been removed :| i highly doubt it was Nadeo who made the call on those, ( Ubisoft >:c ) ) Performance is astounding! All maxed out and game runs solid 300fps (currently set as frame rate cap, have not yet tested the absolute maximum).

The solo campaign proves a real challenge even in the easiest levels!

Multiplayer is a ton of fun as always!

I highly recommend this game for everyone! Old fans of the series will definately have the same challenge, and newcomers (scrubs) will have to work hard to keep up with the pros! ;D

Uplay is uplay, no need to complain about that, ofc everyone wants people to use their own service, same applies to ubisoft.
