The movement in this game is atrocious. Sonic moves slower than he ever has before, and somehow he still manages to have terrible handling. Most of the time I found myself fighting against Sonic to get him to move in the direction I wanted him to.

The menus in the game are awful, requiring you to first open the menu, then select the menu before you can actually navigate through it. Just like the rest of the game, getting through the menus is a slow, tedious slog.

The game is split into stages you have to find and unlock by traveling through the open world. The stages all feel like cheap, poorly made imitations of Sonic Generations stages. The open world feels fine at first, but then you'll frequently get sucked into a section of the open world that is strictly side-scrolling.

The only good parts about this game are the music and writing. Though, you'll really only enjoy the story if you're familiar with Sonic lore. And if you didn't know Sonic had lore, many of the lines of dialogue will go over your head as characters reminisce about older, better Sonic games. But when they aren't reminiscing, the dialogue is excellent and carries the charm one expects from a Sonic game.

Most of the bosses are repetitive, with the strategy being parry then mash the attack button before entering a Quick Time Event to finish the boss off. The final "boss" fight is the biggest let down, getting rid of the parry and button mash and opting for three button presses in a single QTE. The fishing is more interesting than the final boss.

Speaking of fishing, you need to collect multiple different collectibles to progress through the story. While these can be found in the open world areas, the most enjoyable way to collect them is to find the fishing stage for that island, catch all the fish, and then trade in the fishing token for the collectibles from Big. And I say this as someone that has no love for fishing minigames.

If you're a die hard Sonic fan, this is a pretty bad Sonic game, but you're probably used to bad Sonic games. If you aren't a die hard Sonic fan, steer clear because this has nothing for you.

Fun action RPG with some Stardew Valley sprinkled in. The story takes a bit of time to ramp up, but once it gets going it becomes super engaging. Combat is pretty simple, but still fun with bosses having a little bit of a puzzle aspect in both figuring out their weaknesses and trying to find the optimal way to attack those weaknesses to get a Double Break. Music is phenomenal and really enhances the emotions and atmosphere felt in every area. Only downside is the graphics and animation feel like they're from the mid 2000's, but it's not distracting and completely unnoticeable during combat.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a plethora of unfinished and unpolished content. The graphics are beautiful, the music is awesome, and the story is compelling, but everything relating to the game play is sub-par. Every car spins out at the slightest turn, many perks have no actual effect or are useless for all parts of the game, the life path options make nearly 0 difference between runs, and the character creation is strangely restrictive in what you can make your character look like. The game has multiple endings, but they aren't worth playing all the way through for multiple times since it all comes down to two choices. Who do you side with for the final mission, and how do you settle things with Johnny at the very end. There's a secret ending, but that only changes the difficulty of the final mission. Once the mission is over, the secret ending is nearly identical to another ending.

If CD Projekt Red ever fix all the major bugs in the game and improve performance, then I'd say get it when it's on sale. Otherwise, I cannot recommend this game.

While Pinstripe has quite an amazing atmosphere and art style, that's really all it's got going for it. The controls feel a bit too slippery for how much platforming is in the game. The necessity to obtain all the clues to a password before the password can be used is frustrating for multile playthroughs. The worst offender is the need to collect 300 frozen drops to buy a ticket. Prior to the need for the ticket it is possible to only collect 308, and more than ten of them can despawn if you leave the area or open your inventory, making it more than possible to leave yourself in a state where the game cannot be beaten and must be restarted. Overall, while it can be an enjoyable experience, I'd say wait until the game goes on sale to purchase.
