I don't know how I haven't left a review for this game yet. This game got me through COVID lockdowns. And even now, during flu season, when all my friends were sick, we could still keep in touch and have fun together. It allows me to have board game nights with friends who live in other cities.
It allows me to try out new board games in an affordable, non-committal way.
And I'm not even much of a board game nerd to be honest. Most of the time we're just fooling around with props or playing casual party games.
It's just so much fun and oh-so-flexible, there's something for everyone.
Truly a must-have in every Steam library.

I got hooked by the trailers and the aesthetic and I usually like feel-good games. But this one does not have any charm beyond looks.
If youve played other action JRPG like the Tales series before, theres nothing new in this one. Its literally the same mechanics, the same concepts all over again. But the fight movements feel a bit clunkier and the skills are not that satisfying, the builds feel linear and the menu navigation is tedious.
The story is extremely bland as well as the characters.
Its fine to have a less dark story without any complex and deep conflicts if it manages to captivate you in some other way, to take you on a positive emotional ride, but since I do not feel invested in the characters or the story at all, its just boring.
Maybe if this was my very first JRPG it wouldnt have felt that repetitive and it wouldve been new and exciting enough to keep me going, but even then, there are better ones out there.

Great, fast-paced fun for co-op. As a weaker player, I really like that this game is enjoyable with friends and partners even when there is a sizeable skill gap.

Great game to sit back and relax. It's exactly what it looks like and I personally love it.
Just beware that it's a liiittle bit more graphically intensive than I expected, but you can turn down the graphics settings to suit your needs.

While some of the technological references might be outdated (e.g. the judge not knowing what a digital camera is), good storywriting is timeless.
Marketed as a lawyer game, most of the time you will be spending investigating the truth behind mysterious murder cases, going from one conclusion to the next, each logical contradiction revealing a new plot twist.
If you like (non-romantic) visual novels, this one is a must.

Great game with surprising depth to not only the main story, but also all the side stories. You get these requests from your people and some of the choices you make there have quite long-term consequences! You can never just dismiss a peasant.

Great game, creative and distinct characters, easy to get into for non-deckbuilding fans, you know how the reviews for this game go. But here's something that I didn't know:

Unless you are already super good at these kinds of games and instantly know what to do next, this is a surprisingly good game for local co-op.
I found myself spending many hours with my friends, discussing which card to play next, which ones to add to your deck, which path to take, what kinda strategy and/or build we would go for this run, etc., sometimes taking turns to make decisions to really mix it up and bring in an element of surprise.
It's really rare for a game to engage all players in a deep strategical discussion like this and I've really come to like that aspect of the game. Of course, again, this only works for noobs like us who cannot see through "obvious" exploits and OP cards and combos. The dynamic and the pace of the game is probably very different for veterans of the genre.

tl;dr: Bought this for the singleplayer, just nominated it for the "Better with friends" award. Would recommend.

Edit: recorded hours are lower than actual hours as we take turns playing on each other's accounts ;)

They are telling the story like it was some deep ♥♥♥♥, but really, it's not, which just makes it so ridiculous when they act like everything is so sad. The narrative sounds a bit like those games where a kid ponders about things in an innocent way but it's a grown-ass man whining about his childhood and the times he disappointed his dad a little bit when he was a teenager.

It sounds like the dialogue was written by Jaden Smith.

Other than that, you literally just walk around and collect glowing orbs for no particular reason. Yay!
