♥♥♥♥♥♥ Simulator: Cooking Edition

Don't get me wrong. I like Senran boobs as much as the next guy. But when you combine fanservice and rhythm game, it's just not fair. You have to hold your lust to win this game. If I want to fap I'll watch porn instead.

It's like Touhou but without Reimu's armpits.

Pros:
> Distinctive character with each unique play style.
> Focus button. (Thank God)
> The 8-bit soundtrack feels good.
> Challenging even on easy mode (yes, I'm a noob)
> It's free

Cons:
> Why I can't 1CC on easy fml (inb4 git gud)

The major downside from this "game" is that player interactive-ability is none. You can't click to get gold faster, or use any skills. Nothing. This is literally idle game.

Play Attack on Moe H instead.

The shoot-em-up part of the gameplay is actually fun and challenging. Anime tiddies are just bonuses.

Pros:
- Be a gentleman or a pervert? Choose your difficulty. Like in the first game, you can strip all girls as you want, but it got The Gentleman difficulty that does not allow you to strip a single piece of their clothings.
- Challenging enemies as well as surprising mechanism. Compared to the first game, this one has more enemy variety that keep you challenged.
- Lots of sexual innuendo joke. Makes you ♥♥♥ playing the game again.
- Anime tiddies! XD. Last but not least.
- Secret nude patch. Create a blank text document on the DATA folder, and name it nude.patch (instead of ending with a .txt)

Cons:
- Few bugs that broke progression and achievements. The bugs I encountered are screen glitch (the screen stay on the NEW ITEM screen while the cursor works) and the missing new bike (I got it in the cutscene, dammit). The said bugs forced me to restart the game to make it work again.
(EDIT: the devs are actively trying to fix the bugs despite this game being niche. I hope they can live up to the expectation.)

If this game ever taught me anything, it's that fat boobies are evil and flat kitties are justice.

As much as I'd like to recommend this, it's not going to be a state-of-the-art game, especially for the God Eater series.
EDIT: It's like doing your taxes, but here the taxes are giant monsters.

Pros:
- It's like Monster Hunter, with Anime level cranked up to 11. Compared to MH, this game is like child's play. You don't need to know various aspects of the game at the start. You don't even need to use support items like traps etc if that's not your thing. You can choose whether you like to do mission alone or with three other companions. It's as easy as that.
- Costume parade! For some reason I find it interesting to have your own character dressed up in various outfits. More and more clothes will be unlocked as you progress in the main story. Also the other character's outfits are also unique to their own.
- Six different melee weapons, four different guns, make your own play style. Of course you can change the loadout if you ever feel bored using the same weapon/gun for every mission. Each weapon has their own quirks that are fun to experiment with.
- Character episodes: get to know your teammates better! Beside the main story and free missions, you can go on mission with supporting characters to know their story better as well as unlocking special skills to make mission easier with them. It may get more difficult as you progress, but think of it as rewarding challenges.
- Two games for a single price. You get God Eater 2 and God Eater Resurrection. IIRC, GE Resurrection is basically the (much) better version of God Eater 1. I'd recommend you play GE Resurrection first before playing GE2 to have an understanding of the main story.

Cons:
- English dub is cringe. This is my biggest complain. I know some people prefer English dub than Japanese dub, but somehow this game can't do English dub the right way. Some dialogues feel like the voice has no expression.
- Poorly ported from bad console. I can immediately know this game was ported from Vita because the key mapping has no trigger button (other than Chat and Rage Burst command). It just feels off not using the trigger button when you can. I can also say that the graphic and physics are rather stiff and I just can't feel immersed in the cutscene.
- The story plot is as anime as it can get. I know they wanted it to be an emotional trip with some conflicts here and there, but it just doesn't feel right especially with the cringy English dub. It just feels wrong.
- Grind-fest to gather materials can get boring. You can craft stronger equipments using materials gathered from the mission or from the monster you killed, but the drop rate is random. So fighting the same monster over and over again can get boring really fast.
- Online play seems to have died. If you planned to buy this for the online coop, unless you have three other friend willing to play together with, you may want to hold your purchase.
- The AI just feels wrong, both the enemies and allies. In lots of instance, I got to see my allies guarding when the enemy is ready the attack. But when they actually attack, my allies instead undo their guard, resulting in them taking damage like a group of idiots.
- Terrible sound mixing: when BGM become foreground. The default setting for sound are basically disaster. In most cutscenes the BGM overlaps the character voice makes them difficult to be heard. Also, I can't seem to find out which sound level affect which. Because even if I've decreased the SFX and BGM level to Medium, it still sound pretty loud compared to voice level in Max. Maybe this is trivial, but this one bugs me the most.

If you're interested in buying this game for fighting giant monster without wanting to learn tedious thing like in Monster Hunter, either buy this on sale or wait for God Eater 3 instead.

- Bad English translation. It's like they put whole script in Google Translate and call it a day.
- Poor performance on fullscreen. Unreadable texts on windowed. People in forums said they work properly on older system, but not on high-end system. That doesn't make sense.
- Censored sex scene. Seriously, the main purpose of buying hentai games are the sex. If it's censored, what's the point?
- All the tutorials pop up in a single instance. Forcing you to remember it all in one go before trying things out. What is this? Airplane simulator?

Still a better story than Twilight.
Or is it Fifty Shades of Grey?

Might not be internet-breaking as DDLC, but you gotta pick it up fast if you're interested in short VN with adult theme. You know how internet works, don't you?

This is the first Trails game series I've ever played, and I'm fascinated.

Story:
The story might seem similar to other JRPGs out there. It took off from a slow start with small quests here and there, while gradually take it to the climax at the end game. Good pacing. Truly an experience.

Character story:
I'd say each character has their own traits and certainly memorable.
Joshua the calm yet skilled assassin.
Estelle the happy-go-lucky sunshine.
Schera the sadistic MILF.
Olivier the clown musician.
Kloe the refined lady (my favorite).
Agate the serious-yet-loving big brother.
Tita the cute small squirrel. I want to pat her head all day
Zin the all-mighty brawler.

Gameplay:
Turn-based combat with emphasis on character positioning. Kind of mix between FF Tactics and Grandia II. By correctly using single-target, line-target, and area-target skills, might give you the edge on battle.

Character progression:
Probably the distinctive feature that differs it from other JRPGs I've played is the Quartz system, where you organize elemental gems which can be used to boost certain stats or to give special effects, while also developing support and offensive magic for character to use.
