Excellent game. Sucks that your opponents can tilt the odds at their favor, but still great. Simple, yet with a lot of depth.

A must have if you enjoy fast-paced gameplay like the oldschool Doom, cheesy one-liners and lovely maps

The controls are wonky and running the game without a FPS lock breaks it. The game works just, but the workarounds are just annoying. Rockstar should've worked on a better port.

FIRST AND FOREMOST: SHOULD YOU BUY STARTER EDITION?

It depends. On many factors.
You SHOULDN'T buy if:

- You want to unlock operators fast

- You like to own each and everything in a game without much effort

- You hate "grinding"

- You play casually - this will make you get stuck with less operators for "more" time.

You SHOULD buy starter edition if:
- You don't mind the "grinding" - I call it "grinding" because in the end, you start with 6 operators (if I'm not wrong, you can pick 2 and 4 are random). The game will still be quite fun with these operators! It's just that you'll have a more restricted playstyle. Watching videos on the internet/reading about the operators when unlocking them helps you to make the right choice.

- You don't want to have all the operators - THIS is my main point. Of all the 38 operators, only ~15 catched my eye. All the others don't even make me interested. And I feel this is the same with some other weirdos like me out there.

- If you're older you probably remember about oldschool fighting games and secret items that'd only me unlocked after quite some time playing a game. I felt incredibly satisfied. If you also feel this influx of dopamine when unlocking characters, DO get the starter edition. (Keep in mind that, doing the daily missions, it takes about 8-10h to unlock one operator. As long as you're having fun, I guarantee you'll barely notice it takes that long.

Rainbow six siege is a great game. It doesn't matter how much I play it, it never gets stale because different teams have the craziest strategies to get to the objective - while defenders also have the craziest strategies to defend it. I can't stress enough how unpredictable most of the matches are. I'd love to explain more about the crazy stuff I've seen while playing it, but it'd use some term that'd only be familar to people who are already playing.

It's also incredibly deep - it took me about 60 hours to know all the maps somewhat well. You also gotta learn what each operator does!

This means that you'll probably get DESTROYED the first ~40h of gameplay - the game clearly rewards those who put time and effort into it. If you love having the feeling that you're constantly improving and discovering new things every time you play it, this game is for you.

I'm not saying the game's perfect. The balancing is alright. Not perfect. But no game I ever played is. There are glitches here and there but I wouldn't say they're gamebreaking or stay in the game for too long. Hit detection could be better, but few were the times I died because hit detection ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me up

There's also a huge pool of maps that keeps everything nice and fresh, and since they're assigned randomly, you avoid playing on the same two maps every single match (I'm looking at you, mirage and dust2).

Is it better than CS GO? No. but it's not worse either. Both games are very different and only those who played both will notice. It's like comparing Lawbreakers to Overwatch.

I tried to keep this review short, but oh well. If you've read all that, I honestly think you should try the game. If you need more information regarding the starter edition or the game mechanics, leave a comment and I'll answer you

I love this game. It emphasizes skill with long time to kill and it's pretty fast, most people who aren't used to more oldschool shooters will probably get their ass beaten by more experienced players for the first 100 hours.

The game isn't pay 2 win at all, since excluding mercs, everything you buy is cosmetic. A skilled player can beat an unskilled player any time. Medics aren't combat ineffective and you can carry your team with any class you choose.

Don't expect Dirty Bomb to be heavily based on abilities like Overwatch and similar hero shooters, it relies much more on Gunplay and the abilities are there just to spice up the game. However, it does depend on capturing objectives, destroying objectives, etc... So teamplay is important.

Downsides: Sometimes the developers take steps to the wrong direction when trying to rebalance weapons or new content, but they are always in touch with the community and define clearly all their goals.

Oh and if you're new to the game and you're playing Aura and Skyhammer, please remember to throw ammo to your team and heal them with your health stations. Don't go wild and make your team happy

Time to write an in-depth review for this game. I'm tired of seeing ♥♥♥♥ reviews.

Edit: Apparently many people are downvoting this review and I have no idea why. If you downvoted this review, please lemme know what mistakes I made while writing this.
Edit 2: TL;DR added in the end

DISCLAIMER: DO NOT buy this game if you are one of these people who need a constant inflow of new content. New content in this game takes time to come, but when it does, it's a blast and is 99% of the time bug-free.

Pros:
- Incredibly realistic (very in-depth cooking system, crafting, amazing mod community, 4 seasons, food rots... Etc.)
- Map is HUGE. FREAKING HUGE. In 250 hours I believe I've explored around 20% of the map. Some constructions are incredibly atmopsheric.
- Very solid soundtrack
- Permadeath

Neutral:
- Slow Development
- Some features could have more depth (like medicines).
- The tutorial doesn't grab you by the hand and show every feature the game has. (With the incredibly amount of filthy casuals these days, I've seen some people complaining about the lack of tutorials in many games, so there's your heads up.)

Negative:
- UI isn't very intuitive and is a bit clunky for new players
- No NPCs (but that are being worked on.)
- No cars (This is about to release but at the time I'm writing this review, they aren't there yet.
- Not many events, which might make the endgame a bit boring for some.
- Guns are hard to use and aren't very rewarding when used.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Again, this game has a very slow development. Some people complain they have been working for 2 years on NPCs and they aren't out yet, but the developers are incredible, patient and like to bugtest everything before releasing. You'll hardly see gamebreaking glitches going live.
However, like mentioned above, the map is huge and there is a lot of content for you to mess around, especially on multiplayer (which in my opinion, interacting with real players is much better than interacting with NPCs). If you give this game a try, I doubt you'll play less than 50 hours (Which is amazing, considering the price tag.)

TL;DR: Good game with original mechanics, almost bug-free and that will still have a very long early access. New content takes months to come. If you buy the game, buy for what it is right now and not for what it can be in the future.

Thank you for reading! If you need more information, found any typos or have any other complaints, please comment on this review. I'll gladly reply back.

The game's pretty hard and you'll have to know how to conserve your ammunition. It has permadeath and you'll shout at the computer many times for falling into a deathtrap. What's not to love?

PS: If you are one of the "new generation gamers" that can't stand dying 3 times without getting frustrated, this game isn't for you.

Early Access Review
TL;DR

This game is a great sandbox survival game where you can construct houses, kill zombies, scavenge for supplies, store the stuff you find and in multiplayer modes, fight against or with other players for supplies and survival. The graphics are not the fanciest that can be found out there, but it's because of the pure and unique style this game has. A moderately complicated crafting system is also present. If you like survival MMOs, this game is for you. There's also a singleplayer mode for a more peaceful experience.

1. The Actual Review

When I downloaded this game, I wasn't really expecting much, especially because my brother recommended it and most of games he likes, I don't. But it was a huge blast when I noticed how complex and how challenging this game actually is, especially in multiplayer modes. You can carry both a primary and secondary weapon (in the beta version 3.0, which is way better than 2.5), which are basically a rifle/shotgun/assault rifle as a primary and a melee/pistol as a secondary weapon. You can also find clothes, helmets, backpacks, food, water, and did I say HELMETS?! and many more items that will help you to survive longer by providing more space to carry more items, healing and protection.

2. Pros and Cons

Pros
- Huge sandbox experience;
- Decent amount of items;
- Difficult to survive when you are not experienced;
- In multiplayer, you will actually do anything not do die because the death penalty is high (this can be a con for some, but I really love games where you are actually afraid of dying);
- The dev takes good care of the game and updates frequently with new content and fixes (about 3 times a week);
- Good crafting system;
- You can create your own maps;

Cons
- The community is generally friendly but can be annoying depending on the server you join;
- Singleplayer gets very easy and boring after some time;
- The beta branch of the game sometimes experience a few game-breaking glitches that are, most of times, solved quickly.

3. Personal Experiences

>Second day playing multiplayer, naked, because I died in the previous day;
>Some guys who like to play as cops at stratford point guns at me complaining I'm commiting a crime by walking naked;
>I get a death penalty
>A mysterious sniper takes down the tree guys from a distance and I leave the place alive
>Mysterious sniper turns out to be a guy with a farmer's hat and military gear
>He gives me some food, water and orders me to carry a few things for him
>Minutes later, after helping him out a bit, I find a swiss knife and hide it from the mysterious sniper
>Fearing he will kill me after I have a considerable amount of stuff, but no weapons and that he's using me as a packmule, I backstab him in the head
>get all his gear and he comes at me, naked and carrying a rifle a few minutes later
>Rek him again

10/10 would rek the mysterious sniper again

>After one week and recently dying, I have a supressed sniper and a few things;
>I see a group of 3 full-geared guys with nightvisions and rare military weapons;
>I take one out with a headshot and the others try to hind behind a tree, but they're still in my line of sight;
>I take the other two guys out and start being called aimbot by the whole group
>They start to say in the world chat where they died
>as I'm taking their gear, a guy that barely has clothes hits me with a sledgehammer in the head twice and I die
>I respawn and go desperately try to retrieve my stuff
>Give up when I notice there's about 15 players fighting for the loot with snipers, grenades and assault rifles

10/10 would start a war again

There were many other epic moments that I wish I could tell, but my review will get too long! Do get the game if you like this genre and don't get very mad when you die!
