I put like 10-15 hours into it and was like. "Okay, I get it, it's fine."

Then I put in a bunch more and I really get it now.

I'm finally done, and have no regrets. Every DLC as of this post is worth it.

Pretty much what you would expect from the screenshots.

It's a match-3 game with RPG elements. Match the same colours to build up your mana types, use that mana to use abilities to attack your opponents. There's a surprisingly high amount of customization you can get with your character, at a level that may put some modern games to shame. It all comes from playing match-3 games though, so you better really, really like match-3.

Also, this works reasonably well on the Steam Deck if you stick with mouse controls. I've noticed 1-2 small graphical glitches with some attack effects, like lightning looking a little blocky, but otherwise it works great on it.

Only downsides are that the game seems a bit long and overstays it's welcome a bit, the random battles are long and seemingly of little consequence, and enemies scale to your level to make every fight a challenge. If the game looks appealing to you it most likely will be.

I'm not saying anything about this game. Go in blind if you can. Even watching the trailer in my opinion is too much.

Essentially it's an RPG that is all dialog and no combat. You have lots of skills and fair dice rolls decide if you pass checks or not. The writing and the voice acting and the overall vibe of the game are just... so unlike anything I've played before. If it sounds like something you'll like, you'll most certainly like it a lot.

It's good. Just remember the original Stanley Parable was a collection of silly gags. If you want some more silly gags, these are some really good, additional silly gags. I think they'd qualify as deluxe gags though, not ultra deluxe. I feel like when you call them ultra deluxe you're setting that expectation really high. This is great, it's fun, you'll be entertained and your whimsy will be amused. I didn't leave it reflecting profoundly on the meaning choice like I did with the original though. You probably won't, either. But you'll laugh a bit, and that's ultimately all you want, isn't it?

I can say with absolutely certainty this is one of the best games I have ever played.

If you want to play an old-school action RPG without any of the old-school BS this is the game for you.

There's a wonderful combat system that has so much depth and fantastic dungeon puzzles that really scratch the same itch as older Legend of Zelda games. The story is fantastic and serves the gameplay very well.

I can't recommend this game highly enough.

Functional, but just not fun.

The main issue is the distance to gauge your shot. The power level seems to be exponential, with the difference of a few pixels being the difference of a light tap and launching your ball off the screen.

Levels are also pretty bland and the difficulty curve is all over the place.

Best controller I've ever used in my life. Very sad to see it discontinued and would love another run of these.

This controller can do absolutely anything if you take the time to configure it. It's easily the most versatile controller I've ever used.

I'm a big fan of the original Road Rash and this game is a faithful successor.

The violence is terribly fun and brutal. The "juice" and feel is just right. The physics are goofy but always in service of making the game better (fun vs realism).

It does have roguelite elements which artificially seem to lengthen the gameplay a bit... but at least make the difficulty a bit adaptive in that if you keep playing it'll get easier and easier through skill and stats.

Playing through the last few levels have been some of the most fun gaming moments I've had in years.

I absolutely adore this for pushing forward the medium of storytelling in video games. What Team Salvato has made here is something truly special.

There is so much that's right about this game, that I wish there was an in-between score I could use.

The music, sound, art, story, are all pleasant to fantastic. The one inherent flaw in this games in the excessive, soul-numbing grinding.

If you would have asked me by hour 10, even hour 20 if this was a good game I'd have said yes. The main issue is that it's a 10-20 hour game that's stretched out to 60-80 hours with just nothing but excessive grinding. Key things are setup in away that you need to discover them through trial and error using precious resources. Critical resources are setup to come in at a drip feed that artificially slows progress. It's fine for the first while but just gets so brutal.

There are ways to automate a few things later on which is great but still doesn't help nearly enough.

My experience was like this.

- Hour 0-20: I'm having a good time.
- Hour 21-40: Okay, if I just grind enough I'll get a new thing and this will be fun again.
- Hour 40+: Nope, gonna cheat and hack in all the stuff I need to finish this because I'm so done with this.

Even when cheating the grind was just too much. I couldn't bring myself to even come close to finishing this. I looked up the ending on YouTube and I'm not really missing much. My time is too valuable to waste any more of it finishing this.

All in all, this could be an absolutely fantastic game with some much needed balance tweaks, but I think anyone that finishes it in its current state is just a victim of the sunk cost fallacy.
