It's just one big grindfest where you have to have the right build so you can grind some more.

So I kickstarted this game and am a huge BattleTech fanboy. I have the TCG, the minis, RPG books (that I never played), the novels, hat, shirts, mechwarrior jacket, and tattoos (no not really).

I played through it and put a ton of hours in it and unless you're a huge BattleTech geek (in which case you already own this), it's below average.

When friends ask "Is BattleTech any good?" I answer "Only if you really like BattleTech"

The fact that you can only field a single lance is lame. The performance is garbage on my high end gaming box. The story is meh.

I really want to like this more, and I'll play it some more when the next DLC comes out (I have the season pass), but look elsewhere.

I saw this at PAX South and after about 5 minutes of gameplay I walked up and the person at the booth asked if I wanted to play. I simply said "I'll take the game and a button." I have not regretted playing it at all. It seems there are people who like to get lost in the grind and people who are asking for more than what this is. It's a simple geometry wars type shooter that is just great to get lost in.

Simple is sometimes best. I think I paid $10 at PAX and am firing it up to play some more now.

BTW I've only played single player.

If anything happens to Clementine I swear on all that is holy I will burn this earth to the ground.

Such an addicting game while some people may get tired of it. I really enjoy this especially at small LAN gatherings.
