originally released as a tie-in for ACIII on Vita, this remastered edition of Liberation is pretty great, but not without it's flaws. it's ubisoft open-world formula at it's most restrained and very slimmed down. however, some things are too slimmed down.

the biggest let down, in my opinion, is the story and characters. i imagine that because the game was originally designed for a portable system and the audience that comes with it (ie. pick up and play for 10 minutes at a time), the concept had to reflect that and so a LOT of plot points and characters aren't well-developed.

that being said, it's still really cool to play AC with a rad as hell lady protag in a scenario that is often avoided by games. def recommanded on sale.

released in 2007, it's undeniable that this game feels extremely dated to play in 2014 in a post-uncharted world. however, give it some time and it can really get your hooks into you. a brilliant remaster of the first tomb raider game.

nowhere near as bad as i thought it was going to be, Deus Ex: The Fall is a fun little side story in the DX universe that dosen't feel quite at home on pc. it's totally playable, yes, but it *feels* all wrong. there are also some glaring bugs, like a looping sound issue i got quite frequently, that also make me unable to recommand this to people. also, the way the story is set up, it assumes that you have read the tie-in novel that came out before HR.

if you are starving for more deus ex and can put up with some extremely weird feeling gameplay for a pretty short (like 3-4 hours short) but ok DX story and experience, then i'd say play this. anyone else?

also, the pc version dosen't have any gross microtransactions, so point in their favor!

a really smart low-key remastering of a fantastic game with very smart changes (the boss fights are SOOOOOOO much better) accross the board and with all the DLC from the previous game included and intergrated really well! worth it alone for the really fascinating commentary tracks and wacky quebecois accents.

RE6 was mostly savaged by users and critics when it came out, but when I played it, I found a game that while not having much of a focus, gameplay wise, it's a game that is goofy and fun and wants you to have a good time. if you are open to some jankiness in your games, pick this up!

this game is a complete mess from top to bottom.

nothing feels right, nothing feels polished or elegant. a textbook example of too many cooks (900 cooks across many different resturants to be exact). even the basic movement and gameplay feels clunky. and christ, don't even get me started on how guns work (hint: THEY DON'T AT ALL)

the story is somewhat interesting but even that dies the death of a thousand cuts when connor is shoehorned into Literally Every Noteworthy Moment in early american history.

i cannot tell you why i played this game for 100 hours. i don't understand it myself. for every moment i found myself having fun, there was an hour of boredom and moments where i just left the game running and went to do something else (did you know the entire run of transformers is on netflix) instead. i looked forward to the game ending just so i never had to play it ever again.

the ONLY justification for this purchase is if you are an insane completionist like me and want to see how the story pans out.

i'll save you the time, it ends with a bunch of twists and then a wet fart of an ending.

don't play this.

a poor pc port can't stop a pretty fun shooter from shining. if you are like me and find the robots FAR more interesting then anything to do with humans in Transformers, then pick this up. a solid 8 hour ride with co-op. just make sure to use the FPS unlocker!

nothing i say could be enough to describe just what jazzpunk is. comparisions could be made to the stanley parable, gone home, thirty flights of loving but it is like these and it is also like none of these.

it is simply jazzpunk.

and i love it.
