Great game;

Combat feels pretty good, fairly simple turn-based but still fun.

The main thing about this game is the story, and oh boy is the story good. I won't spoil anything, but it's really really good. It has both very emotional moments and the humorous moments, and I think they found a really good balance of the two.

Pretty much everything about this game is really good, but I have two main complaints;

1. It gets really grindy towards the end. I didn't do very many side quests, so I don't know if It'd make a difference if you do, but I had to grind for maybe 2-3 hours to beat the final part of the game.

2. Cutscenes. Lots of cutscenes. Sometimes you forget you're playing a video game and think you're watching a movie instead. Which I honestly didn't really see as a downside, as like I said, the story is really good, but keep that in mind if you only really want gameplay.

So many different choices and characters to build. There's SO much to do, and you just want to start a new playthrough again with a different character and try out new choices after only a few hours. I've played 200hrs of this game, and I'm not even really close to beating it on my main playthrough. There's also so many hidden interactions and dialogue that I'm not even aware of yet at the time of this review.

Get's a bit overwhelming when actually getting to Baldur's Gate tho (act 3) because there's kind of TOO much to do, but that's really my only complaint of this game

Oh and if there's an acid pool, area of fire or a trap somewhere nearby, your AI companions WILL walk into it.

Despite that, this is still the best game ever created imo, by a landslide. Looking forward to the next Larian game, although they won't continue with the Baldur's Gate series.
