Developer support for this game has been amazing since release. New content is added routinely and with a good balance between historical immersion and gameplay. Much more fast paced yet still easy to pick up for new players

Much better than Age of Empires 2: HD Edition, especially at its price point. Features a ton of new game content, including over 200 hours of singleplayer campaigns, four new civilizations, dedicated multiplayer servers and an active online community to back it all up. Graphics look really nice and frequent patches and updates keep the game interesting and fix previously broken aspects of the game like pathfinding and civilization balances. Some things are still broken or overpowered, like cavalry archer collision box sizes being too small and the Cuman civilization as a whole being OP in many situations, but the game is still very much enjoyable and amazing for history nerds, strategy buffs, and players of all ages.
