I'v enjoyed a lot of games through my time playing - from clasics, to triple-a's, to indies, to MUDDs. I've made my way through a few more RPG's than most people, I like to think.

This game is the first game which has ever compelled me so strongly to write a review that I've actually gone through with it.

Undertale - the story of a child who fell down a hole - is a contradiction. Despite its vintage apeal, Toby Fox has created a game which could easily be appreciated as a modern classic: the characters are memorable, the combat system is thoroughly unique, and the humor is void of almost any kind of culture-lock. It's not hard to imagine that it'll be appreciated for the next couple generations - it's got that kind of Mother/Earthbound-like appeal, but still holds up alongside the more current appreciation of free-choice games.

... Not to mention, it's $10.

Okay, let's get to the bare bones of it now.

PROS
----------------------------
>>> 10/10 soundtrack
>>> Amazing, memorable, funny characters
>>> Multuple thouroughly developed (by mostly one guy????) paths
>>> A moving, beautiful deconstruction of the classic RPG
>>> can pet every dog

CONS
-----------------------
>>> not enough dogs
>>> Difficult to grasp, if the player lacks atleast vague knowlegde of game-analysis

overal an easy 10/10
