I have been playing Dynasty Warriors series since the PS2 days and stopped during PS4 era so my opinion is definitely shrouded in a thick layer of nostalgia. Despite of that, I believe this is the best iteration of Musou series so far. In general, I enjoyed around 90% of the content they've provided to me.

I don't really mind their decision to incorporate their own amnesiac OC donut steal type in this game and they definitely made it somewhat work properly. But, the fact that every single officers in the game are extremely thirsty towards you is very weird. What makes it even weirder is there are only 4 female officers in the game which kinda defeats the purpose of the semi dating seems feels to it.

The combat is also extremely competent as well. I think this is my favorite Musou combat so far. The weapons has their own unique niche while also viable (with the exception of staff). My favorite being spear and lance.

The character design are quite nice although I'm extremely weirded out by their decision to make Guan Yu to be bishonen.

I don't get the reason why they exclude some of the important characters like Cao Ren, Da Qiao, Xiao Qiao and other popular characters like Lu Linqi. Cao Ren is the most baffling one.

It's been a blast playing this game and I can't wait for the continuation of the story. Surely you can't end it at Chi Bi right?

I still can't believe it or more like, I don't want to believe it. But it is what it is and thank God for this game being here. I was really happy when they officially announced the 2nd one thinking that Aqua is going to stick around for a bit longer....

a very neat and relaxing game to play on steamdeck while watching your favorite holomem. Senchou's commentary and holomem's voice when you throw them makes this game really funny and adorable.

ps. I always put Aqua in so I will always listen to her voice even after the end of August.

new comp update breaks the matchmaking. It's ass.

it's hard to believe but the matchmaking has gotten even worse the more player it has. It's baffling it's like it's a complete random. Skill based matchmaking is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke of a system

very fun! I like that each holomem has their own playstyle and the roguelike elements makes it very replayable. I've just finished a normal run with Koyori. The ailment spam build is quite satisfying once the build clicks to the point where you can do an insane burst.

neat little game with solid mechanics, cute pixel art, and really fun music. Really worth the price

Unfortunately real life situations got the better of me so I can't play as much as I can for the time being but from around 3 hours of play time all I can say is:
An absolute masterpiece for a Suikoden fans that is completely and utterly ruined by awful localizers. You can argue that old Suikoden has a terrible translations as well but I can tolerate it for the lack of budget but this? This is inexcusable. I have just finished the first dungeon and the amount of character rewrite, terrible zoomer jokes, and context changes from the original Japanese script are malicious in intent. It's like the localizer has an agenda that is not tied with respecting the script of the original developer and wanting to get this fictitious audience.

*edit: yeah this is unplayable. I can't stand the downright fanfiction tier localization completely destroying the spiritual successor my most favorite IP of all time. Shame on you 505. Shame on you.

very neat little game. The gameplay loop is pretty simple but effective. Korosan is very cute as well. Great when you just only have 15 minutes of time to play a game.
