A beautiful game with a lovely soundtrack.

It's Mini Metro as a factory game. Simple, fun and relaxing.

I've been following the development of this game for about 2 years and I'm truly happy to see this game see a full release and meet my expectations. Although I only have 7 hours clocked on the game at the time of this review, I feel as though I've already gotten my money's worth from a $15 title ($10 on sale). The game mechanics are simple and the preview trailer explains everything you need to know to begin playing.

The game is essentially a sci-fi themed action strategy with gunplay like Hotline Miami. This game is a rogue-like, just like FTL. The game can be very unforgiving; your character can die and their inventory will be gone forever.

The first hour or two was frustrating to get through. Flying the mini pod through space took a while to learn, but became second nature quickly afterward. After I figured out what playstyle I prefered, lethal vs non-lethal, and which weapons and gadgets I liked, the game became much more satisfying to play. This game can be frustrating or very satisfying depending on how well you think through your actions and how precisely you can execute them.

Those who like fast paced action and/or stealth and unique items with special skills will enjoy this game. There are many similarities to FTL, Hotline Miami, The Swapper, Mark of the Ninja, Monaco, Deadbolt and Risk of Rain. If you enjoyed any of those games, you'll really like Heat Signature.
