an old friend brought me to terraria a year or 2 ago, he carried me through the whole game, despite that i still come back every now and again on my own. and i think terraria IS a good game. HOWEVER...i have 2 problems with it. and they are smaller nitpicks at best. if you like fighting bosses, mining ALOT, and maybe building cool 2d bases? go for it. buy the game. its great. its always been great.

that said, my 2 problems? crafting benches as a whole, and despite being able to put a chest ontop of a platform, i cannot put a chest and platform in the same block so i can make a much CLEANER looking chest stack for storage purposes, like theres always that 1 block gap despite there being plenty of room in the sprite of the chest to put a platform there, so instead of being able to put another chest directly ontop of another by merging 2 platforms and the chest together (allowing for much cleaner vertical storage) i am forced to place the platform ABOVE the chest, and then place a chest ontop of that platform, meaning theres a 1 block gap that makes the entire thing look...bulky, for lack of a better word.

as for the crafting bench problem im having? i like that we can craft so many items, i also like that theres such a wide variety of themed benches. but thats not the problem, the problem is that all of those benches take up so many space, and you have so many items that require you to have multiple benches at the same time nearby to craft them. theres a mod that fixes it by making a combined bench station, or you can use magical storage?? but those are mods, and i'd just like to see something in the vanilla game that helps fix this or reduces the need for copious amounts of space, because lets face it. a whole room dedicated to EVERY crafting bench is ugly, and hard to use. it wouldent be so bad if we coulb combine even a FEW of the simpler or vaguely related benches together. maybe not in the same way that those combined teirs of station are, maybe you still need multiple. but for example of a possible solution, look at the items you have that require multiple benches, find a common theme between what some of the benches do, like the living loom and the honey dispenser are both "organic" things. make an organic bench that combines the two, have another for forging that can handle all sorts of metal stuffs, mixing the furnace/hellforge with the anvil and a normal workstation. you get the idea, even if we end up with a bunch of these, if it takes up less space and or is easier to use? it would still be GREATLY appreciated. so please, devs. if you read this, at the very least consider it, i dont want to feel like i need a crafting room in every base that's ever expanding with all these benches

game has been great so far, even played the demo. and i gotta say im very happy to see more games allowing the demo save to transfer to the main game! although i did come acrost a bug that im not sure how to report otherwise. the bug happened when i was fixing the frog statue in the questline that we are meant to find people to decipher the runes on the wardrobe thing. i would put it together, think its wrong because i kept having an extra piece, the piece turns grey. so i take it apart and re-assemble it. only to find out...that putting it together/taking it apart duplicates the smaller frog statue piece. i will not be abusing this, just gonna sell the other two i ended up with and move on. but please try to fix this.

onto other things though the game is great. and is designed in such a way where i can play with one hand, no need for a keyboard. which i personally really like. because that means i can eat or drink while i play without needing to pause or anything its very nice my only gripe so far is simply that they locked rotating attached pieces to a tool upgrade.... it really bothered me that i couldent rotate the lid on the dice box to make it actually look nice, lol.

but yeah, please do fix the bug, that is all that i ask, and keep up the good work, devs
oh. also sidenote. idk if ive gotten to a point where it is used yet or not. but ive given the black candles to aimon already. and still i have not seen the pulley elevator behind the workshop be used yet. if it ISNT used ever, i would like to see it be used in a future update. perhaps thats how we GET our pouches of debris? as that would mean i actually have to drag it over onto the table. cause as of now i just click on it where it spawns with the chisel instead of dragging it onto the work-space. definitely not needed per-se. but i think it'd make more room on the work table AND make more sense to me if thats how they was delivered. perhaps even an animation where it goes down and back up if you feel like adding more of a respawn timer to it. and if not, thats still fine. just seeing it be used for something would be nice! however if its already used then it seems you devs are far ahead of me and i thank you for reading anyways

2 things ive noticed, but i'll rate it first, out of 5 stars i would say this is a good 4.7

onto the things ive noticed and would like fixed, there happens to be a bug, i think? where when manually dragging/throwing items into containers, or into the mixer etc. on the tables, those product usually ends up going BEHIND the jar, or the bag, or the mixer, if i move too fast, it takes take for the product to move into the "center" in order to actually be able to be put in, and alot of the times with jars specifically, i cant reach the product anymore, and while i can fix it by leaving the table and going back in, its kinda annoying to deal with, maybe make it so that when you pick it up, it snaps to the center instead? or add a small invisible barrier just large enough to prevent it from being ungrabbable? please? its not big but it'd help make it slightly less tedious to manually pack containers, and i would appreciate that, or even being able to grab it through the container so long as it isnt detected as "inside", any decently implimented solution would help :>

secondly, its kind of hard to jump into the large dumpsters, even crouch jumping feels like i get in once every 7 attempts. can you maybe increase the jump height by a few pixels or something to make it a little easier? just enough to make it less desperate if i wanna get in there before a timer hits, because even getting out feels agonizing

despite this VERY SMALL and insignificant problems, the game isnt actually all that bad, its kinda enjoyable truth be told.

one thing i definitely think needs an update though might be the demo... for some reason the demo for me felt alot less fun than the actual game, not in the sense that "well the demo needs to balance on the line of good enough to want to play, but bad enough to make you want to buy the actual game" and more in the sense that, for a reason i myself cannot pinpoint...i almost didnt buy the game because the demo just didnt feel...fun? i bought this seeing a few of my friends and alot of the youtubers i watch was playing it, and figured i'd give it another change and get the actual game, im not dissappointed in my purchase, but the demo may need some more help to pull people in that way, as it almost lost me instead.

regardless of the bad things i pointed out though, there are also good things. i do LIKE the table system where we manually pack stuff, for example, i do like that we have dealers so that its not just endless and chaotic running back and forth between clients and our operation, i like being able to make these seemingly random mixes with funny random names, and the voice acting, despite not having many lines for these characters, the voice acting itself sounds pretty good too!

one new feature for the game i'd like to see though is being able to get seeds without a supplier, likely late game. but here is my thought: an island we need to take a very small wooden boat with an engine on the back to, this island is heavily forested, a jungle infact, and maybe we can find naturally growing "plants" that we can get seeds from, aswell as some "powdered sugar" that we can refine there, and stash in the boat under the floor boards ;> and bonus points if you give us a way to make our own chocolate, maybe a baking system so we can put the product into the baked goods and sell it that way, instead of the doughnut being mixed with the product to produce a differently colored product? like imagine buying a doughnut from a bakery, as a customer. you bite into it and suddenly the whole world feels and looks like the "this is fine" meme, that would be funny to watch the customers freak out, having not expected this beatdown on their senses

i played this game alot in the earlier stages of development, and really liked it, it was good but also simple and easy for me to grasp back then. however now its way too complicated in the modern betas for me, so i try to go back some versions hoping to restore the game to when i last enjoyed it. trying to find that version and restore it resulted in windows and avg quarantining a file because it was infected with something, so those beta files are not all clean, still gonna keep trying to backtrack versions but i wouldent reccommend doing it that way i am doing it, and i wouldent reccommend the newer versions of the game if complexities isnt what you want, but rather a simple colony survival game

personally i didnt like most of bethesda's works from what i've played (including other elder scrolls games and fallout) HOWEVER skyrim is the one game of theirs i enjoyed most, in-fact i occasionally get excited to play skyrim, if you are going to play ANY of bethesda's games i'd heavily recommend at-least looking at skyrim, in my opinion its simply the best and most well rounded of all of them (despite it being older and buggy at times), it ALSO runs really well even with a pc that only has 8 gb of ram,i know this wasn't revolutionary for the time in which it came out vs now, but as someone who can only pc game on a heavy budget this is amazing, not to mention im also running it smoothly on high settings. amazing game, just relatively old, and im sure with mods and downloadable content you can improve on ALOT for the things you desire yet find lacking. they make mods readily and easily accessable!

its a free game (demo?) and i gotta say, cant wait to see the full game! i like it from the core of what ive seen so far, though it does suck that the sulfur nodes arent on the main island (unless the map is randomly generated? idk ive only made one world) but i can see this easily becoming alot like that other first person mars base open world game, with a more survival vs exploring focus, i quite like it already, i just hope i'll be able to afford it when the full game comes out (i dont have much income to begin with) hope to see this expanded on greatly. but it is a good demo anyways, and it even has multiplayer, which is also exciting

at times can be the dark souls of survival games, but honestly isnt that hard at all at lower difficulties, making it playable for people like me who just wanna chill and survive, also has a good story mode
