One of the few RPG games i've finished in the past few years.

Doesn't have the best graphics at some times (or perhaps the settings I had it on were faulty--animals looked exceptionally odd), can have some minor bugs and glitches, but i've not come across anything that's game-breaking (as in, that you can't fix in-game, aside from: There's one section in Egypt that I came across where I had to push Gina around while we were under a pyramid in order to get her to shine the lights to progress. It took about 10 minutes of nudging her in that direction, but I managed to do it without resetting.)

What it does have is: a pretty in-depth story that has a tendency to draw you in the longer you're around; plenty of good cutscenes that are action-y, but not enough to take the agency away from the player; some decent puzzles that you have to stop and think about, use some tools you've acquired along your travels to solve them; and most importantly, you get to punch nazis/fascists--who doesn't love that?

It's got its faults, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about playing it.

I'm happy with the direction this game's production has been made, thus far. Excited to hear what other works come out in the future. I do wish they'd discount some of the older DLC more often (From Warhammer 1, 2), however.

Absolutely beautiful game. Good storytelling, good resource management, good balance between classes (although rank 5 scouts are extremely powerful).

Every soldier's got a bit of a story to them, include them on missions and they'll interact with the world, the civilians or the enemies around you. There's no real way to influence what side of the Russian civil war you're on, but are you really on anyone's side in the first place?

The game makes you actively want to see your people home. And by the newly birthed Republic, you will see them home.

I started playing tonight, and I only cried a whole 20 minutes after I had to shut it down due to classes in the morning.

Bottom line, this is a great game; many improvements from Civ V, and a few i'm not all so hot about in all honesty--after the first bit of playing. I may update this later, once I have a few more hours.

Positive Things:

+ Every character is beautifully given a personality, trying to live up to who they were.
+ Cultural policies now run alongside your government form, which evolves as you discover more cultural technologies.
+ HUGE MAP IS HUGE!
+ Clear menus to help you figure out what buildings go into which districts that you can create.
+ No more infinite use builders; you use one of three charges from them to build a single improvement. Repairing improvements from raids by barbarians, thankfully, does not cost a charge.
+ Roads are naturally created by traders/caravans. While not exactly what I had in mind, it makes the game seem a bit more natural instead of making sure that you didn't miss a tile with the old workers.

Negative:

- I'm not at all fond of the districts removing resources (even the base tile resources) under them (like stone/iron if it's an industrial zone, or cotton/chocolate with commerce zones), though this is a minor complaint really.
- It might just be what I see, but there's no real 'happiness' meter throughout your empire. Hard to keep track on where you are sometimes, if you want to trade that last luxury good away for something needed.
- Leaders tend to open dialogue with you (in single player) over small matters--and you have to sit through it without even being allowed to respond until they are finished, which is often just 'goodbye'. It's a little annoying, but nothing too bad.

As a visual novel, I would definitely give it a solid 8.5/10. The story's decent, a little confusing from time to time about what's going on, but as you go on and choose pathways to get to all of the endings you get to understand it a little more.

Barring a few prompts where there's only Russian font or there's some misspelled/grammatical words, it's translated fairly well--kudos to the one who did. The characters seem not all too flushed out so far, other than the main protagonist/antagonist (I still can't really tell, only finished one ending).

Something to keep in mind for those who are looking at this game--is that it is a 'visual novel' certainly not a 'game'. I think they did a rather well job at telling a story and depicting it as well via images.

The characters, you begin to get attached to, the atmosphere is beautiful, the music even more so. Yes, this game may be short, but, it is by far the best ten dollars I have ever spent. All the way, i've never killed a creature.

I've beaten this game. Twice. That being said, I am not sure if I can bring myself to open it again.
Flowey, you are an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I forgive you, but, I agree. I won't reset the timeline.

11/10. *sniff*

Destroyed everything by making a massive black hole that crashed my game. 11/10 would play again.
