This game is basically an interactive story. And a great story at that. There's no monsters, no frustrating puzzles. Just a house that you have free reign to explore. Almost everything can be interacted with, and I found myself carting around a stuffed dinosaur (Steggy) through the whole house.
You play as young adult, Katie, who's been traveling abroad in Europe for a year before coming home to her family's new house. As you progress, read notes, play cassette tapes featuring old 90s punk bands, you discover more about the people that live there, and why no one is home when you return.
This is not a horror game, it is not an action game. So please don't buy it expecting something like Amnesia. Think more like Dear Esther. It's a great short story, with a nostalgic and realistic feel to it, and about the same price and length as a dvd would be. Except instead of just watching it, you get to immerse yourself in it and figure things out for yourself.
