Relax, listen to a light melody, build a scene. What's not to love for a comfy game?

This game has been pronounced as the 2023 GOTY for a reason. Larian outdid themselves. It is not the perfect game, as it has many bugs. But these faults can be forgiven because Larian has worked tirelessly to address bugs and balancing. They hired a fantastic cast to play your companions. An absolute solid CRPG, and hope that there will be future DLC.

I would recommend this game, on sale. This is a decent FPS game that doesn't actually involve guns (well, maybe a spirit gun *cough*). However, it is incredibly short with no real replay value. The story is decent, but it suffers from generic menacing bad guy syndrome and the trope of the reluctant hero being coached by grumpy dad who is a cop.

I do like the mechanics they went for, and the combat system is not awful. The environment is what really sells it. Decent customization, but like the length of the game, rather limited.

Despite these flaws, I do recommend the game, just get it one sale.

Is scarlet rotting enemies and hiding cheese? Yes, the smelliest of cheeses.

Hundred percent would do it again.

Elden Ring is my first serious souls game. I tried DS and DS2, and just didn't care to keep playing. The combination of an open world game that expects you to figure things out and bosses that need you to learn movesets and patterns gives me the challenge that I've missed from a lot of games. I generally get the story/lore and the few amounts of NPCs gives the Lands Between an interesting flavor you don't get in other open world games like Skyrim. This is not Skyrim, and thank god for that. I liked Skyrim like the next guy (a decade ago).

In the past week and a half I've owned this game, it has sucked me in ridiculously. Already 2022 GOTY? Really?

Edit as of 04/14/2022:
The cheese extends! Swarm flies by dudes, you can just melt most enemies regardless of resistance of hemorrhage.

Would still play this game after doing all the things.

For fan of the Left 4 Dead franchise, Back 4 Blood is it's successor. It's definitely better with friends than without. Each character starts with their own basic special buildout so it never feels like you are playing the same character but with different skins. I like the interactions between the different characters (though it does get a little repetitive as you replay runs).

There are moments that will particularly difficult to complete without actual players as the AI is a bit weak on assists.

TL;DR: The game is fun, but it feels like it just ends abruptly. Outer Words is short even with the two DLC (Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos). Buy the bundle when it's on sale.

Typical Obsidian, excellent character writing and fascinating worlds. I like the idea that your home base is also your mode of transit between the different planets, though you still have to go back to your chest of infinite space to drop your loot that is overburdening you. The locations are unique for the most part (you'll go into a lot of the colony pre-fabs, which does get boring after a certain point because they are rather drab for story purposes).

Overall, the game is not particularly difficult, and there are side quests involved with the main story line. There's even really fun DLC which adds to the depth of Halcyon. However, the game does ultimately suffer from what feels to be a lack of content. Although you are visiting multiple worlds, only a handful have more than one location you can visit. Of course this part of the story, but in-game locations that should be a sprawling metropolis (Byzantium for example) feel absolutely empty despite its sheer size. The length and amount of content in this game seems to be a common issue among other players, and they would not be wrong.

The music and ambiance of the game is spectacular. Buying the bundle version gives you access to the game's soundtrack.

With respect to replayability, I would say maybe one or two replays at the most. There's not too many branching story arcs where you decision matters other than getting different ending slides. For example, you sided with this side, and then this happened.

I recommend this game and feel I got my money's worth in entertainment value, but I would wait for a sale of the bundle for those who are cost-conscious.

Despite the bugs (mirror, car spawning, traffic, random falling damage for no reason, etc.) and spelling errors (DEVILREY), this game is overall just awesome on the PC.

1. Keanu. Triple A games with A-list actors. Yep, always a good combo! Keanu plays an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ very well and his character is not contrived and absolutely badass.

2. Character customization. I loved spending a solid 30 minutes just building my guy. (1 second to give him a small ♥♥♥♥, there I said it).

3. Skills and Cyberware. I love that skill progression and cyberware are tied closely together. If you're building a decker, you're also not some giant meathead because that doesn't work. Though I always thought that if you were going full body enhancement, you could still be a decker with a strong body.

4. But the BUGS. If you can't stand bugs, wait for the devs to fix it. DEVILREY really bugs me, but I'm a nitpicker.

This is a decent "Armored Core" game. There is gear you can equip and you have to balance out the pieces. In addition, different builds approach different bosses. However, I really like how well the lock-on works for melee. The in-mission repair systems could be better, but the pacing is amazing after you get out of those first few awkward missions. I loved revisiting the Free Missions after being OP and finishing the main storyline.

You are an overglorified version of Phillip J. Frye.

It's not vaporware like Star Citizen, so there is that.

It's quick, it's simply, it's silly. Fall Guys is really fun to play both solo and with a group of friends you can invite.
