A team mate was blood covered so i thought its from the opposing team,
so i put a Spear into his chest.
turned out its a team mate

I've had and played this game since beta.

so for Brawlhalla is a smash type of game, with few dozens of characters and weapons, with a fairly balanced gameplay to be used as ESports material, the developers play and stream the game regularly and they are alongside the fans and hear them out.

the experience can be extremely toxic on occasions, but it's nothing to do with the game itself, the community is just salty as heck and to be fair there are lots and lots of friendly players too, overall the toxicity and salt is just a part of this game, you have to learn to enjoy it.

lots of people talk about spammers, and how they are unbeatable, OP or favored, but let me tell you, my peak ELO(rank mmr) has been 1980, and I've been playing this for over 3 years now so I know what I am saying, those who whine about spammers, are just bad. they simply don't know how to properly use the punishment system, yes spamming can be really effective, if your opponent doesn't know how to respond to the signature moves, or ironically are a spammer themselves.

Servers, yeah they are not really great, and it can be really frustrating. it's been like this forever now, haven't really sensed an improvement in that area.

overall this is a good online game, heavily skill based, lots of updates, free and you can practically run it on a potato.

This is a really great DLC, its story has lots of emotions, even better than the main game's story, it also improves some of the game mechanics and graphics, fixes some bugs etc.
it also adds a bunch of items to the game...
How this DLC felt for me was like a complete new standalone, it's worthy, at least i think that way.

this game is one of the best RPGs i have ever played.

Pros:

-wide story line
-a lot of side-objectives
-a lot of different Mobs and enemies
-a really huge world with different kinds of people...
-long game play
-has many things to do such as alchemy, forging, crafting , etc.
-you can forge your character in 3 classes, such as : archer , mage , warrior
but these 3 classes can be optimized inside too.. like mage class has so many different spells and u can become master in them like, fire , wind , lighting , necromancy , etc.
-music is very good and relaxing


Cons:

-kinda bad multiplayer
-has some issues with the physics, but they were fixed in the DLC
-story isn't that hopeful i expected something else...something more influencing
-asks too many questions at the beginning
-you have to play the first game to understand the story, but you will catch it by time even if you have not played the first one


i recommend you to buy this game if you are fan of RPGs, this game offers you many experiences
and good news is the Two worlds III will be available soon.

edit: it's been 6 years since my first review, the game is out of EA, and there is still so much to discover.
