Skyrim and Metro 2033 had a baby whom exposed to the radiation and mutated into an abomination.

This game feels like its released in 2024 in a bad way: performance issues, open world for the sake of being open, etc.

This game feels like its released BEFORE 2024 in a bad way: Boring quests, bad UI, "RPG" (its a big lie), controls, movement (its not smooth and parkouring feels like breaking the game), etc.

I LOVE stalker series, however S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 does feel like it supposed to release in 2013 and they forgot to do it.

I recommend this game due to multiple aspects:
+ Unique Combat Style
+ Can be played competitively or casually
+ PvP enthusiasts can enjoy it as well as sims addicts by creating your dream vampire castle
+ They added fashion with 1.0 (RP content woo)
+ They made the spell concept look more complex, however it is simpler then before

Boss fights are fun, fighting is fun. Game is more enjoyable if you have a team. If you want to enjoy this game solo, you have to either be a tryhard and flex for PvP servers OR you have to enjoy sandbox and creating your dream castle. Apart from that the PvE aspect of the game won't take long to finish even with the new added content. You can find yourself a server that is to your liking OR you can create one. Aesthetics of the game is on point. There's enough RNG on this game for you to grind but not burn out. Progress feels like a progress. You grow out of areas which feels like a progress, however also feels like you are losing content as you are continue growing.

Bads:
- This game has no end game content. PvP is the only content. PvE content is too straight forward and when it ends, it ends. There's no reason to continue playing PvE after killing the final boss. Let me get this straight: PvE and sandbox are not the same. You can build you dream castle in different spots etc. However if you are looking for a long term PvE content, there isn't one in this game. PvE is there to gate keep some stuff that's all. No PvE raid, no PvE ambushes etc. You can add those with mods, however main game is too banal after finishing the PvE content. Which doesn't take long by the way. As a long time player (700h or so) it took my team and I less than 1 day to finish our first -blind- 1.0 playthrough in a PvP server.

All in all, I do recommend the game. There's no other game like that around in my opinion.

You know what, I'll write a decent negative review NOT riding the whole PSN drama.

I love the game. I truly do. It's a fun game especially with friends. You'll have some memorable times, laugh and take some clips or some screenshots. However, that's it.

Gameplay
Don't think that this game is a grindable looter shooter MMORPG or w/e. It is like League of Legends or DotA. You'll load into a same type of mission (the one you selected) and it will be the same goal everytime. However, what happens from the start until the extraction changes -like LoL or DotA (In those both MOBAs the goal is the destroy enemy main building but what changes is what happens until that goal is reached). So treat the game like that or you'll be burned out pretty soon.

So this is where my negative review starts: From the start of the mission until the extraction you, as a player, don't know what is intended and what is not. There are lots of bugs in the game. I'm not talking about Terminids. And these bugs are not game breaking but fun breaking. Stalkers creeping towards you while you are mag dumping on them just to hit you once and throw you like 50m away into an enemy patrol which calls enemy reinforcements, is this intended? Because it's not fun. Getting ragdolled to a random rocket just to get hit by another random rocket to fly away on top of other enemies is not fun. Rocket devestators spamming rockets non stop is not fun. And these are bugs which are not acknowledged by developers but fixed if community cries a lot about it. Patrols spawning non stop to your location, which people though was a feature, was indeed a bug. How weapons work, how stratagems work, how objectives work, how enemies work, how missions work, how systems work are all buggy. They change constantly and you don't know which is the "fixed" version. Game itself feels like alpha version. Dealing DoT damage only works for the host, like how??? This game is live service...

Performance
Crashes and bugs everywhere. If you follow HD2 discord, you can see some very specific crashes being fixed. "Fixed crash that could occur if too many civilians spawn." The civilians are spawned in "extract missions" from 3 different places by the players, in waves of 3. So at the same time there can be 9 civilians. However, sometimes civilians stuck somewhere due to bad pathing coded and they don't go where they should thus allowing lots of civilians be alive on the map. "Fixed crash which could occur when throwing back a grenade while wielding a heat-based weapon." Like how does this work? There are lots of crashes. Everything can crash your game if you are not careful.

Community and Meta War
The game has an awesome community with the worst Community Managers I've seen. CMs frequently attack playerbase if they are not on the same page. Then apologize, then do similar things again. Their wording skills are subpar with kindergardeners. They managed to turn player-base against each other in the events of Malevelon Creek and Destroying Automaton Major Order. They released statistics and told players that they failed the major order because there are too many people disregarding it and stubbornly playing on the planet called Malevelon Creek -which was not the MO. Thus started witch hunts in player base for a week where Malevelon Creek players getting team killed, etc. While saying nothing about the Terminid players who also ignored the MO. They are also bad at wording the patch notes. An example: "Patrol spawning has been increased when there are fewer than 4 players. The fewer the players the bigger the change. For 4 player missions there will be no change compared to before. The biggest noticeable change will be for solo players at higher difficulties." This was the wording with patrol "fix" released. Solo or duo players got shocked due to missions being already hard for having lot player in a team, now they had to encounter more patrols too? After a big backlash on Discord, they added this info: "We unintendedly had non-linear scaling of the patrol spawns so they didn't spawn as often as they should have when less than 4 players. The intention is that 1 player has 1/4th of the patrols compared to 4 players, but it used to be that they had 1/6th". CMs are not qualified to manage this big of a community. And with the PSN drama, you can learn more on Twitter.

Galactic War is a joke. What you do as players not matter. You pushed a front you shouldn't? Devs tweak some numbers and boom. All your progress is now lost and lore-wise "the enemies brought a hidden force they built up to push through our defences". For a week people trying to push through the Terminid front, however always either the decay rate of the liberation campaign of that planet is increased, so the players can't take it. Or the planet that connects the frontline to the backline gets attacked and losing that planet results in losing the frontlines anyway. What you do is meaningless in the grand scheme. If devs want you to win, they tweak the decay rates, and you win. There is a recorded instance where a planet's liberation jumped from 70% to 100% without much players in it. If devs don't want you to win, they tweak the decay rates, and you lose.

I have 268h on this game, I even wrote a guide for this game. However developers really don't fix the game to a released standart, the community can't get enough of the drama, CMs are childish, and you can't show your concerns or talk anything against the game in the Discord to find a solution or fix because community is ready for a drama and discrimination too. And I'm tired of it.

I'm sorry if I didn't explain how everything works in detail but I'm just done at this point.
I won't change this review, however, if the game itself changes and the things I wrote gets fixed, I'll delete this review / edit it to "can recommend" and change it to a thumbs up.

I played the DEMO version of the game and I LOVED it. After finishing Frostpunk's every scenario on Survival mode this game looked amazing to tryout. However my view is changed after playing the game. This game has an awesome idea. However it is NOT balanced at all. It has some bugs but nothing that can't be fixed.

Let me elaborate the balancing problem:
You have two health bars in this game: Hull integrity and Trust.
Hull integrity detoriates constantly and you are asked to repair it with Alloys. However, finding alloys is not realistic in space. So you are tasked to find Iron Ores and craft Alloy from them to repair the hull. You need probes to find Iron Ores. You need Polymer to create Probes. You need Alloy to create a Polymer factory. You need Alloy to build almost everything in this game. So if you want to grow as a station, you need to sacrifice one of your health bars. This is not a problem by itself. The problem starts with the second half of the balancing: Trust.

Trust in this game does not exist. Every citizen you have on board of Tiqqun is a conspiracy theorist and they hate you. All you have to do is give them a reason to rebel. From every single event, these guys get angry: You don't provide food for a second? Angry. You don't provide housing for a second? Angry. You don't put enough workers to an area and due to this they needed to work few hours more? Angry. You spend a little time more in a system to rebuild and prepare yourself for the next system? Angry. Hull integrity is below something? Angry. Too many cryopods? Angry. Too little cryopods -death to replenishment rate thingy? Angry. Angry. Angry. Always for every single thing. Even though you build stability (anti-angry) buildings they somehow get angry. Them getting angry decreases your Trust meter BUT that's not all! They start to riot too. They start to blow up buildings and because of an explosion, they get hurt or die, which makes them angrier. Meanwhile your production halts due to their riots. Which makes them more angry because now they are hungry too -food plantation workers are rioting here. Meanwhile you are forced to continue in the campaign to find out there are MORE problems to deal with. Your hull detoriates faster and can't be repaired due to having rioting children. Your hull also detoriates faster due to you are progressing the story. It is insane. You are punished either if you are taking your time to prepare or if you rush the quests.

This game is not hard to me. I finished Frostpunk in Survivor mode. This game is unbalanced as hell. You can't get workers fast enough but you lose them to random explosions like speed of light. Research helps yes but even 4X games are easier to multitask compared to IXION. If you want to "enjoy" this game. You need an insane foresight. If you don't want to enjoy the game but just to beat it. All you have to do is brute force your way to learn every single event and pray to RNJesus for explosions and rioting.

I'll lookout for this game's balancing. If it becomes playable, I'll change my review accordingly.

--This Review is for Pre-Witch Queen DLC--

Don't be fooled by my game time in Steam, I've been playing D2 since its release in Bnet. I have 1 month play time in Leviathan Raid only.

This game is actually very good. Gameplay feels nice, guns, and abilities are feeling good to use. Story and lore is pretty well thought. If you get this game I promise you you'll enjoy it as long as you'll do every single thing in the game.

And that's where the problem starts: Content. If you want to min-max you'll need to play this game everyday. You will need to play unfavored content for loot. You don't like PvP? Well too bad, you have to do PvP weekly quests for powerful engram. You'll feel burned out soon enough if you finish every content in the game.

Events are a joke to be fair. They look so good yes, the rewards can be decent. However every event is basicly the same: Bounty grind. You grind bounties in event arena. Again and again. Event after event.

Also this is the only game that deletes major content by saying "vaulting". Major story content like Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind and now Forsaken is gone. Destinations (Maps) related to these gone too. Chances are newer content will be gone too. Old raids are gone, old weapons and armors are gone in the name of "sunsetting" -a way that failed miserably to stop power creep. Then those old weapons are brought back as new grindable content.

In addition to these, Destiny 2 is NOT an MMORPG. The most players you see will be in Tower -Main HUB area. Other than that the most crowded you'll get is in 6v6 Iron Banner PvP Event and Raids (6 people). Destiny 2 is a looter shooter. So don't be fooled by its MMORPG tag.

As a conclusion: You'll love this game, get addicted to it. Consume every single content out there. And then you'll hate the management thus hate the game. However because there are no other game out there like Destiny 2, you'll be stuck with it.

Hood's "idea" is awesome: Be sneaky, steal the key, locate the vault, extract the chest. Game is revolving around players acting in STEALTH. Rounds are fast and ideally simple. PvP what makes it complicated because you can't predict precisely what other players will do. HOWEVER, this is not a finished and polished game. I'll explain:

Class balance:
There are 4 classes at the time of writing:
- Ranger: A long range sniper
- Hunter: A close range assassin
- Tank: A close range fighter tank
- Support: A mid range fighter healer
Class balance in idea is perfect, however in execution it's not. Support's mid range AoE attacks are way faster than hunter's. So in a Hunter vs Support fight, support wins. Each class can assassinate AND do other jobs, so hunters are left ONLY with assassination which makes them a little bit useless. Oh also, you can assassinate in MID FIGHT. If you somehow crouch and get behind your enemy and press the respected key, you can assassinate and one shot enemy players. There is no interrupt of the assassination, you can only kill the assassinating player to save the assassinated player, which is not easy.

Rounds:
Each round you have 3 objective: Locate the key and steal it, locate the vault and unlock it, grab the treasure and extract it.
-Locating the key is fairly easy because the key is always behind the sheriff AND also there is a HUGE indicator of the key if you get a little close to it (this is same for the enemy players and this mechanic destroys the whole "stealth" thing in PvP). Stealing key is fairly easy too because the NPCs are deaf and can't see more than 90 degree angle.
-On the key it says where is the vault. I think this is a pretty good design. You open the door and grab the chest.
-Then you need to bring the chest to one of the extraction points. The sad thing is, for the most maps, it doesn't matter which one you put it. You see, maps are almost mirrored -as main spawn locations- and the extraction points are basicly in the middle. It doesn't really matter which extraction point you use. There are additional spawn points in the map which you capture and enemy can decapture. However you carry the chest for your "favoured" extraction point for what? Nothing really. For most maps it doesn't matter at all. Just let the enemy team carry it and you can farm points meanwhile.
-Extracting is a stressfull process and where the main PvP lies. There are 10 checkpoints of extraction process. For each checkpoint you pass on the extraction bar, you get additional gold. The win condition is to "be the team that passes the 10th checkpoint". You can let enemy team to do the heavy work and pass 9 checkpoints and then wipe them to get 1 checkpoint yourself and win the match. Also because this is the heavy PvP, Tank and Support classes shine here. Even Ranger shines here due to sniping enemy players. Hunter however is too weak in combat and you can get oneshotted by either Tank or the Support -or even by the enemy sniper by a headshot. But you can only kill people if you assassinate them, which is a pain. This PvP is the longest part of the ANY match I've played and while people are fighting, hunter's job is to decapture enemy spawn point and if you can, pickoff lone enemies. This leads hunter players to get flamed for not being on the extraction point.

Aftermatch:
After the match ends you can spend your winning gold in either your hideout or your pocket. If you spend it for the hideout, your hideout level increases and you unlock new character skins. If you put the gold in your pocket, you can unlock new weapon skins and you can buy new perks for your character. That's all. By upgrading your hideout, you unlock new skins for your character. I'm so dissapointed here. I wish we could unlock new rooms, upgrade existing areas, with each upgrade of the hideout the appearance could change etc. But nothing of these. Just character skins WHICH you can get the best ones by leveling up your character or get a win with specific character.

Communication:
Yes, the game has voice chat. NO, THE GAME DOES NOT HAVE A TEXT CHAT, LIKE REALLY?!

Verdict:
Hood is fun, can be so much better and one of the best games. However at this point its not. It is fun with friends but can be frustrating. I'd buy it in a sale or something.
