A great three player, third person roguelike for when you wanna spend a weekend playing something with a couple friends. The price is a bit steep for the amount of content offered, so I'd recommend picking up on sale if you don't wanna pay the full price. A demo is also offered, which is a nice way to see if the game is enjoyable before playing. The devs are very active and friendly, and have talked about adding in more content, which is single the biggest issue with the game at launch. It feels more like a beta than full release, but is a blast to play regardless!

Early Access Review
This game is still in development, so there's an apparent lack of content as I write this. That said, what's already there has an insanely solid core. It's fun, fast, and dynamic with lots of variety. Everything currently in the game has a nice layer of polish on it, and works smoothly. If you like Nuclear Throne, you'll love this!

When I initially bought the Cube World alpha, I quickly realized I was essentially playing a tech demo. I decided to shelf it and wait until we got an update. Fast forward six years and here we are: the game still doesn't feel any less like a tech demo, but in fact feels more like one.

In its current state, I cannot recommend Cube World. While the graphics are nice and unique, the overall game design does not appear to be well thought out. In the time I waited for this game to reach a full release, many other masterpieces were created, such as Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Slay the Spire.

If you like open world games and have some friends you wanna kill time with, I'd say go for it (though there's many other options that exist as well). Otherwise, hopefully we will see the game be updated along with community feedback to reach a better point.
