Things I loved:
* the Ron Jon stickers on the ship \m/
* Becks' crocs. Hell yeah exploring the galaxy in comfort.
* Becks and Rani. Normal boring queer couple. Please more of this.
* the scenery. GORGEOUS.
* the gunk. Yes, it looks like what comes out your nose after a particularly nasty bloody episode, but holy hell so satisfying to just hoover up. That's an itch that needed scratching.
* the puzzles. Mostly on the easy side, but when it took a little more effort to figure one out, I really felt the accomplishment.
* CuRT. You got serve.

Things I will hate until the day I die:
* spinny spinny platforms in the sky. I am terrified of heights and get vertigo like whoa. The puzzles, of which there were too many for my tastes, were every nightmare ever rolled into one technically-harmless-but-often-nausea-inducing vicious cycle. I'm getting dizzy just remembering. HATE.
* the motion blur. For the last ascent to the dome, I had to turn all my graphics down just to be able to get past the last fight, AND EVEN THEN it was either I got all the gunk cleared but somehow a big guy spawned under the platform (bugged, start over), I got all the gunk cleared but a big guy got stuck in a corner (bugged, start over), or everything spawns at once and I die in a black cloud of confusion from bob knows what. I don't even remember how I finally beat it. I'd like to think it was just raw skill, but everything was moving so janky that I was basically rolling my face across the keyboard and hoping for the best.

I enjoyed this game a lot, especially since I got it on sale. But it also kinda gave me a headache.

This is legitimately one of the best hidden cat games I've played (and I've played a few). It was challenging enough to keep me entertained and felt like a real accomplishment when I completed it. I did have to use the hint button a couple times, but it doesn't penalize you, so all the better. :D I love the backstories of the named cats that you find, and the angle of finding objects in one level to rescue cats in another level is really cool and unique. I love this game. Four thumbs up, 11/11.

This was fun in the way that nightmares are fun. In the moment, all you can do is just watch as things unfold (sometimes within your control, sometimes not) and keep reminding yourself that this isn't real. When it's over, you feel a little more accomplished for having survived -- and with Harvester, you can get a shiny little badge as a reminder, instead of just the horrific scraps of memory that nightmares leave.

100% my favorite nightmare.

This was super cute and a fun way to spend a cold evening! The animation is gorgeous, the puzzles were really simple, and the whole game was just a delight. :D

I loved almost everything about this game. Ancient Ones with so little concern for humanity that we're usually beneath their notice? Rad. Badass female protagonist who uses science to slay? Hell yeah. Abandoned monastery overrun with zombies? My dude.

The one thing I didn't love? The SIZE. I saw another review that mentioned the huge size of the maps, and it's so true. Easily 75% of my time in this game was spent running around backtracking and getting lost. I feel like a lot of the maps could be half the size and still as challenging without being as exhausting. I dunno how you could work a fast travel into the story without impacting the overall feel, but man, it would've been super cool to just warp between different areas.

My only complaint is that it took me way too long to figure out that the last two puzzles to get 100% were free dlc that I never downloaded, and that's on me. :D

Is the translation janky as heck? Yes.
Is the plot simple and the dialogue corny? Oh yah.
Does everyone look either 17 or 90? And how.
But the artwork is pretty, there are laughs to be had, and the whole thing is just really cozy. I had fun and got some cheevos. Two thumbs up, comrade.

I'm cool with walking around a gorgeous setting reading little bits of existential meditation zen while earning cheevos and cards, especially for half off. Great for dopamine and moments of reflection. :D

This game is what happens when David Lynch accidentally hits his DMT vape instead of his THC vape, passes out while watching Pee Wee's Playhouse, and then writes the script for a game based on the wild and crazy dreams that resulted. I loved every second and wish there were more secrets to find. :D
