The game is good, it really is. It just has a few issues which will likely be fixed in the next updates.
There are some complaints in the reviews section which are wrong, and I'd like to address them.

Some people mention that you're not able to pick which hero you'd like to play as, which isn't true; you just click on the hero, and with its sheet on screen you press the ready button.
Desync isn't that common of a deal after the first updates, but there are times in which a desync problem will likely send your party to the gameover screen. There's a workaround for it, but it's tough to get a bunch of strangers to coordinate and do it nonetheless.

After grinding for a while, you'll notice that notoriety is essential for gaining legendary items, which allow you to really customize your playstyle with each character, and makes them feel less generic than they do after you've been playing them for a little while.
It's really important for you to be able to grind such items, but since your notoriety level gets lost after a single member from your party leaves, most of the time you'll end up getting back to a notoriety level of 0 thanks to the guy who just played 2 runs with you, leaving.
The best way to fix this would be to make it so you lose your notoriety level after TWO party members leave, that way you could keep playing even with one friend, and not feel like you're getting ripped off.

These issues aside, the notoriety one being the most important, the game is great fun.
Not only is it a game which relies on cooperation for successfully completing each run, but makes it fun to cooperate, even with strangers.
At the time of this review, the endgame is also really good, allowing you to, as mentioned before, customized your playstyle to your likings. It's just a shame that there isn't that much content since, well, it just came out.

tl;dr:
I really recommend it.
It's fun and it is challenging, let's just hope the desync issues get completely fixed, as well as more content coming soon.
