Well, it's an automation game, what's not to love about it?

I was looking for a fun board-like game that could be played quickly. Solar Settlers met my demands.
The goal is to build settlements and settle your colonists before the the number of rounds is over.
The game mechanics are easy to learn: move your pawns, activate planets' bonus, terraform worlds.
There are different races with different mechanics, which forces you to rethink your strategy when you play another race.
There is a difficulty progression: as you win more games you must settle more colonists with fewer rounds available. If you lose the difficulty drops, so you will never reach the point where you never lose.
No enemy apart from RNG in the card draw and the tick of the rounds counting down (well, actually up).
And last but not least, a game is finished in 10-15 minutes, ideal if you have some time to kill but not enough to start a Civilzation game.
Plus daily challenges, weekly challenges with leaderboards for those who want to compete with the rest of the world, extra cards as you progress in the game... Although small-looking this game has a lot in it to ensure a daily dose of fun without getting boring.

I highly recommend this game if you like fast played board games with a scifi theme and you don't have friends.

I wanted my station to be like a real Paris metro station, but I couldn't find how to add a urine smell.

I was looking for a Freelancer-like game, and I found this indie gem. I just finished the main story after 60h, but I did spend a lot of time just flying around from station to station, completing side missions, helping harrassed traders or hacking communication terminals.
Although it is a space sim game, I was at first surprised that my ship behaves like a ship, that is, you move in a 2D space, always staying on the same plane, and shooting at other ships with your boradside artillery. It's a bit strange at first, but I got used to it and enjoyed this originality.
The main story was fun, maybe a bit shallow, but at least not lost in pages of grandiloquent dialogues about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of crap about the universe. It is on the contrary quite straightforward. The side missions that you get at the stations are also fun to play and rather varied, although they eventually all imply to destroy ships, even the trade missions because they will put pirates between you and your destination.

The only main downside is the trading system. It is dynamic and reacts to the events of the game, which is great, however it is impossible to know the price of the goods unless you are in the station. The best you get is the price it was the last time you went there. Which doesn't really makes sense in my opinion in a universe with highly advanced technology. So in the end you cannot make money by simply trading between stations.

Anyway, I recommend this game if you want a game that reminds you of Freelancer, but you do not want to invest time and money into bigger games like Elite Dangerous (which I play too and love). Plus, I understand that this game was developed by a team of only 2, which I find really impressive. So support your local indie dev, get rebel Galaxy!

The whole concept is rather original: it's a very standard RPG, only everything is managed through an windowed operating system. Guild messages arrive in your mailbox, the world map is one of the programs etc.
However the dowside for me is that you cannot explore the world as you like; just like FTL you have athreat following you, ad you have to escape it or you fall against huge monsters which are hard to beat.

Personnally, I asked for a refund because I was looking for a more relaxed casual RPG experience, but I still recommend this game because you may enjoy it if you need more FTL-like Roguelikes.

If you played Theme Hospital when you were a kid and loved it, this is the game for you. Two Point Hospital is the cover title for Theme Hospital reloaded. Same mechanics, same progression, same kind of diseases (only with different aspects, but you can tell which replaces which). Theme Hospital made it to the 21st century, and it is great!
However if you want a different experience than Theme Hospital, you want to find something else.

A very hard table in my opinion, although I am not a good player. The ball is very fast, and goes very easily into the drains. It's the table I play when I have only 5 minutes.
I'd recommend it only for the Portal fans or the pinball wizards. Otherwise it is not necessary, again in my opinion.
