A wonderful collection of some of the most charming platformers to be made! Klonoa 1 is a sweet lil game, with tight platforming, that might seem easy at first, but the developers manage to explore the mechanics quite well! And Klonoa 2 takes that even FURTHER, with even more challenging platforming, and new mechanics built around the simple moveset! The best way to describe these games is "Deceptively Simple", the story, the gameplay, the music, it is all made with such artistry and love! Klonoa 2 is now amongst my favorite games of all time!

I have absolutely fallen in love with this game. If you are interested in it, let me seal the deal for you, while trying to keep spoilers to a minimum:

-So unbelievably charming! The game has so much heart and soul to it; the music, the visuals, the characters, everything!
-The characters, they are not only fun to play as (per their mechanics and skills), but also endearing, there is a good amount of emotional beats in this game, as well as just funny moments! I fell in love with the protagonists, and when the stakes where high I legitimatelly feared for their well being.
-Turn based battle system that not only encourages strategic thinking and planning ahead, but also does not feel repetitive; enemy encounters are varied, and their qualities when grouped together, form small puzzles within the fights, even old encounters are interesting.
-So much extra content! If this game's already amazing main storyline wasn't enough, there are quests! and extra encounters that are optional!! even whole AREAS of the map that you can explore if you feel like it! Even quite decent and entertaining minigames for good measure!

Honestly, this is a great game, that you SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BUY IT if these points interest you! Try to not spoil yourself if possible, as this game has so much pleasent and joyous moments, and a whole lot of heart to show them to you.

I am not even that much of an RPG guy, sure I like my Paper Marios, Mario and Luigis, but that's about it, I spend most of my time with other genres. And yet, this sweet game has captivated me, earning a spot not only amongst my favorite games, but a spot in my heart.

Keep in mind this is one of the classic Point-and-Click adventure games, so it is NOT something you can power your way through, the game wants you to think in a very specific way, and pay attention to the characters that inhabit its world; but even if you end up using a guide, I HIGHLY suggest you don't just finish it, seek out the dialoge between characters, their battering and comebacks; this game not only earns its rightful place as a highly praised piece of media due to its puzzles, it is MOSTLY carried by its writing, which is equal parts absolutely stupid and clever.

Short Answer: Buy it, it is really fun, it is cheap; it is great!

Long Answer: The game is extremely enjoyable, the music, the graphics, everything about the gameplay is carefully desing to keep you on edge and in "the zone", the gameplay is fantastic, everything is designed to reward your expertice by making it both, more thrilling and harder by raising the game speed... the only real flaw I can see with this game is the menus and the such, they are quite rough compared to the rest of the game... you could also say that it is very short... but quite replayable, so I don't really see the issue there.

This game is amazing. There; that's all you need to know. Go buy it already!!!

Now for those that want specifics...
I am not going to give any spoilers.
-The game is a blast, minutes of playtime easily become hours with this game.
-The soundtrack is a beautiful score that, although very much atmospheric, is delightful to the ear and is, in my opinion, a must buy.
-As a metroidvania game, its level design and character abilities certainly complement eachother, creating various scenarios and situations that are very kinetic yet challenging in a fair way.
-This game is going to kick your ass, and even at some points pull out a surprise out of nowhere, but you will get over it, trust me; and that leaves you with one of those "yESSSSS" satisfaction moments. It gud.
-The game starts... Slow at the begining... However it will start getting kinetic sooner than you might expect.
-Exploration is highly endorsed in this game.
-And... Need I mention the visuals of this game? YES BECAUSE IT IS SO GREAT, It makes this game stand out as not only very immersive, thanks to its magnificent use of all the elements at hand, that bring together quite a wonderful atmosphere, that should be experienced first hand. Many times I remained still in this game just to appreciate the scenarios. The colors, the movement, the suttle things that make them seem so lively...
-Oh yeah, and as of the time I am writing this, this game has received 3 Major Updates; and an upcoming 4th one... Resulting in this huge, game that feels like you are getting far more than what you were expecting.

Do yourself a favor and buy this game.
