I have no idea why this game was made.

This isn't an intentionally mean statement, either. The game itself has no purpose; there's no real sense of rising or falling action and I feel like most of the strong emotions I feel towards the game and the elements within it are unintentional.

For instance, I hate both Nina and Blake. Nina is sheepish, insecure and muddling - which aren't necessarily bad traits to have, but there's never a real reason given. Blake is someone you're supposed to like until he voices his doubt, but he was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ throughout (ie telling her she has a nice wrack, calling everyone he knows minus Nina an idiot.) Their dialogue isn't sweet or romantic, it's ladden with forced compliments and pathetic grasps for attention.

This kind of mood isn't something I'm against - in fact, I would love a game about two people who are insecure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who fall for each other but are too pathetic to stay connected. But that's not the game. If that was supposed to be the game, the purpose and intent isn't clear enough. Instead I'm left to slog through 72 minutes of people "flirting" like they're 13 years old and I don't even know if I'm supposed to hate them or not.

The price point of this game is ridiculous, so I thank the Lord I got it through a Humble Bundle. Even at 50% off I wouldn't buy this, so thinking about spending 8.99 on it full price turns my stomach.

Also, the concept isn't original or unique. The ending felt rushed, but I think that even if the creators took their time with it it wouldn't really grab me. Why? I've seen this story and elements of it before. There's nothing new about internet meet up movies, straight people falling in love movies or guy being confused and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ off movies. And that's essentially what this is - a movie. The gaming component could be interesting if executed well, but it was ultimately useless. The messages from other people don't particularly paint any vivid picture of me. Nina is a teenage girl and has a weeby teenage past. She's had online friends, online crushes. What exactly makes her a character that stands out, other than her crutch of pink hair?

Overall the only positive aspect of this game to me was the MMO setting. While useless, I found it extremely pretty, if not a little buggy. But in general, this game is a waste of time, money and creator resources. Head on back to the drawing board, guys.

Love it. A great way to take your mind off things and vent along with buddies who also share your virtual bloodlust.
