I've used it for years as a quick time saver. It just works. If you're bad with color combinations like I am, I recommend it.

Nothing like having a power that's defeated by moving your camera around.

Nothing like a power that's straight disabled, not conditionally countered, not passively countered, but flat out disabled by 15 Survivor Perks.

Who thought it was a good idea to give a Killer a power than can be deactivated by survivors? Without expensive add-ons every round, the time it takes to disable Night Shroud is pretty much instantaneous.

The new map brightness doesn't help either. OH NO LOOK AT THAT OMINOUS LOOKING BLOB MOVING IN THE DISTANCE. IT'S A GOOD THING COLDWIND FARM IS NOW BRIGHTLY LIT. THAT BLOB MIGHT HAVE USED THE BACKGROUND TO APPROACH ME.

Going against an SWF crew? Better pray they don't have Spine Chill and Premonition.
Hell, a Four Man SWF crew can literally just post a look-out while the rest do generators.

I stopped playing this game for a while, saw Ghostface when I came back and thought "Meh why not?"

I really should have asked my self " why are you so stupid? You could have gotten an entire pizza from Little Ceasars."

I fell for the "He's like Myers but better" meme.
No. This is worse than Myers. At least with Myers, you get a set amount of time to coast around the map and stab anyone you can find and snowball the match from there.

With Ghostface, you have to stab them before they wave their camera in your direction or in the games I've played, the Rank 2 and rank 3 players? they run around actively looking for you to actively prevent your power.

Nothing says weak like a Killer that has to hide from the survivors.

I remember playing this on the PS3 and never bothered to play it on Steam until today.
Some things never change, not at all. This game deserves more love, simply because it's a Quake Clone that's not annoying.

Pros :Looks amazing with newer hardware.
Cons: Same cons it had when it was new.

So, that's it?
No achievements, no new characters, no steam cards, no fanfare, no update on minor glitches such as the Ordeal Crashes and so on and so on?
I don't even think my review will say Early Access since I've been following for a few years now.

Secretly the Wraith Buff.

You take everything about the Wraith and make it worse. Tadah, the Wraith is now better.

The Spirit is an absolutely terrible killer , yet her perks were supposedly designed to make up for it.
A Free Kill against the obsession and Decoy totems. She's got a third perk but nobody bothers with it.

Her power is crippled on maps with vaults as she can't vault while using it. If it wasn't for the Window Blocker and vaulting nerf, she'd be absolutely crippled against any remotely skilled player.

Her only pro is her Myers Tier 3 length lunge that catches people off guard. and her two situational perks.

The New Survivor, Black Guy 2. Has a wonderful perk, except it's so situational that if you're hooked first it's absolutely useless and if nobody gets hooked or you don't reach them in time to score the unhook? It's worthless.
PEBBLES is just a silly troll perk, it does have uses but you're just trolling with it half the time.

AutoDiadect is quite possibly the worst perk in the game, even worse than when Slippery Meat was bugged, ie; it spawned a Bear Trap for the Killer player AND reduced your chances of escape.

The new map is great, they finally listened about not having enough evasion points on maps -- but they went to far and 80% of the map is shrouded allowing for absolute stealth.
Fair warning, the map is buggy as hell. Be careful when dropping down anywhere on the map.

Only recommended if you want her two perks. Otherwise avoid the DLC.

Reskin map.
Survivor that was datamined two years ago and actually looks human, compared to the alien Feng and the bulldog Nea.
Juggalo Meme that 420 blazes it every day.

Lousy perks on both sides.

You don't need this unless you really like making BLAZE IT jokes.

What's happening?
What's going on?
Get instantly killed by the first enemy you encounter.
Have this repeat several times.

Haven't died enough to unlock another character but at this point it feels like Nuclear Throne with additional BS.

Also, thank merciful lord there's an option to disable the camera shake. Which may be the only good thing about this.

Edit: Going through my games in 2020 since I have nothing else to do. I thought I judged this game unfairly, but upon playing it some more.. No. I judged it correctly the first time.

Pros- Cheap and Easy to use ; Devs said they're going to add hand support further down the line so look forward to that.

Cons - If you know how to use Blender, Clipstudio or even hentai games with poser modes you can get the same effect.

I personally did not like it too well, but I cannot hate on something this useful for people on a budget.

Pro : It's the closest thing to Armored Core on Steam.

Cons: Everything else.

It's a ported mobile game, what do you expect?

It has the same annoying things that most mobile games have: Disjointed storyline, the same enemies over and over and over and over and over and over and over, just with a new color of paint and stronger stats.

There are 8 "rooms" that make up the entire map of the game - You will get tired of gliding through the same locations to do similar tasks.

If you can survive the slog through the game , you're treated with a mission called Reinforcements - - Which is exactly the same as the Vita version.

Defend three of the most suicidal ais in existance from an endless onslaught of enemies for 5 minutes.
One of which will automatically start flying towards the enemy spawn 1 minute into the mission, followed by the other 2 , a minute later.

And if you beat the game? It's time for the DLC missions , Hero Creation MIssions and the (R) missions.

The DLC missions are pretty interesting but you really don't get any story behind them and enemy stats are pumped to the extreme.

The (R) Missions are the same missions you already beat -- except now the reward is hidden and the enemies are randomly excessively more powerful. Incredibly boring.

I don't have the endurance for Hero Creation Mode - Doing similar missions to the main story, except with a more vocal main character? Sign me - - meh. Nevermind.

I did enjoy building a robot like old times sake but the ultimate nail in the NO FUN coffin was the Random Drops. You need the Japanese wiki to figure out what drops what to some extent. Even those guys haven't figured what drops some of the weapons and they've been playing this game for years.

Oh I didn't mention that. Enemies have a item drop pool that can range from only 1 item to 24 different items. The ones with the larger pools? Some of the toughest enemies in the game, ie the Final Boss and the Final DLC Boss.

Have fun! I did for a while but eventually.. I tapped out. Fighting Agastuasdahwatever for the 60th time was my breaking point.

I'll save the time and only compare this to the other Darius games I own.

How this game manages to have more content and yet at the same time, techincally less content that previous Darius games is quite amazing. Even G-Darius had more content overall than Arcade Mode of Darius-Burst Chronicle Saviours.

I was expecting something like R-Type Final where each ship had it's absolute trademark ability and then some. What you get is a bunch of virtually identical ships, the ones that are different ? Play the same. DLC ships can't be used in the main modes so there goes breaking up that boring trek.

As a long time Metal Black fan I willingly bought the Metal Black DLC - - Meh. Why get a nostalgia rush when I can just fire up Metal Black on my PS2 or pop the game into my computer and run the emulator.

AC mode is meh.
CS Mode is also meh. You get tired of seeing the same backgrounds and same bosses over and over and over and over and over and over again. You'd think this was a Compile Heart game with the number of pallet swaps and lack of new enemies.
DLC mode is great. except, you know you need to shell out the money to reinact levels from other games with Darius enemies- Sure there are non-DLC missions that are kind of fun but the amount of DLC is Tecmo levels of excessive.

Icing on the cake, the resolution is wonky as hell and the game will crash every 15 minutes unless you disable a microsoft service. I've no clue who to blame on that one though. Windows 10 for being shoddy or Pyramid for not building the game around it.

I like it, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you already like the Darius series.

It's really not worth 50$ or $20 - Considering I paid 40 back in the day for G-Darius and I still play it.
