Easily one of the best games I've ever played.

Overall, Dying Light 2 is a very enjoyable experience. The gameplay loop kept me engaged for hours, however I did feel the game was lacking in some areas:

- Nighttime isn't as terrifying as it once was like in Dying Light 1. Volatiles would roam around everywhere in the first game, including on rooftops. In this game, however, Volatiles are much rarer, they only come out when you're being chased (which is triggered by enemies which almost don't move, on street levels), and even then, they only appear when the chase is at least level 3.

- Loot could use some work, getting max level gear is a bit of a pain, as most world drops only scale to level 6 (max level is 9), but even getting a fully upgraded melee weapon at the highest level, enemies take a lot of hits to kill. I really miss feeling unstoppable at max difficulty like in DL1!


- Korek Charm. Dying Light 2 doesn't have the option to repair weapons like in the first game, however, the Korek Charm allows you to repair your weapon, infinitely (at a very cheap cost). I understand that this is an Easter Egg, but because good max level gear is very hard to come by, this thing becomes mandatory if you want to keep using the same weapon for more than 5 minutes. I honestly think they should make this thing more expensive to apply to weapons, that way it won't feel like you're cheating.

- Throwables are very weak, they barely tickle the enemies.

- Some resources are really scarce and super hard to find, even at endgame. It also doesn't help that a lot of the craftable stuff that require these resources are very expensive to make.

- Some of the parkour and combat skills never come into use, I mostly forget I have some of them because of how useless they are. Rework please?

"Free to play" my ass, game forces you to pay a ton of money for content if you actually want to play it properly, and even then, it's temporary because they literally remove content you paid for every once in a while.

Low price, lots of (excellent) content. Buy!

I bought this on sale for 2 dollars and it's the best 2 dollars I've ever spent.

F*ck this game, 10/10

My previous review was negative, but it seems like the game is now going in a much better direction thanks to managment changes. Beware, this game is pretty grindy, but very fun.

I lost all hope for this game, and to be honest, I already forgot about it. It seems the developers themselves have lost interest in fixing it, all they could do in 3 months was make the police spawn a little further from the player.

The only way to pull a No Man's Sky is to completely remake the game from scratch, which I highly doubt CDPR will do seeing how much money they've already made and they don't seem to address the real problems with the game itself anyways, it's like the only problems that exist for them are the bugs.

There were SO many things cut from the game it's almost unreal, just take a look at the 48 minute gameplay demo and compare it to the released game. Where are the daily routines for 1000 npcs? Where is the "next gen experience"? Where is the role playing?
So many promises, so many lies.
