Recommending mostly for the story. The combat is alright, not great. Visually it's a mix, the environments and attention to detail are great, but also a lot of things that take you out of the immersion.

I get decent FPS on high settings with raytracing off on 5600X/2060S. Even with high settings and latest drivers, the game just looks blurry. There's something about it that feels like there's vaseline covering my screen. It looks especially bad when you look at your character in the mirror.

Already experienced one bug in the Ripperdoc mission requiring a reload from a save file. Lots of other minor bugs with the NPCs and not being able to pick up loot. Hopefully CDPR have more patches coming soon.

This game would be a solid 9/10 without all the stupid Gymkhana time trial crap. Seriously, it's a stupid fad that doesn't belong in a racing game. Colin McRae is rolling in his grave with this being part of his legacy, thank god they didn't put his name in the title, but it still ruined the franchise.

Still uses GFWL which is dead, can't purchase DLC even though it's required to 100% the game. Developer is "working" on removing GFWL and porting to Steamworks but that's been months without progress

Everything else about the game is great, it's beautiful, runs smooth, and controller friendly even with Xbox One controller.

If you are looking to buy, I would definitely wait until the move to Steamworks is completed, and I wouldn't pay the full $25 price. Wait for a Steam sale or find it on G~2~A (remove tildes)

This is a hard review to give, because I wanted to love this game so much. I have to say this from the get go, the gameplay itself is fantastic, however there are things that stop me from recommending it.

Regardless of what the developers say, multiplayer is for all intents and purposes dead. Three servers online, all with zero players. Group chat has 4 idle participants. Not sure how their Saturday night events are but I'm not one for waiting a whole week to play a game for a couple hours. There is singleplayer but the main focus of the game was in the multiplayer, singleplayer is essentially multiplayer with AI.

Developer also fails to deleliver what they say; we were promsied features such as proper Eyefinity/Surround support and over a year later the game still doesn't work with these enabled.

LIke I said though, the game itself is great, when you can find people to play with. Fast paced and a lot of fun, however I think the genre itself is dying, so it's not really the games fault. Graphics are great, TONS of settings you can tweak. A few minor problems such as the developer console only being available while in a match, minor things like that, but overall the gameplay is very fun.

TL;DR - Fun game while it lived but no one plays it, would not recommend.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed with this game, comparing it to the original Typing of the Dead.

There are many graphical and audio glitches that occur throughout the game, and the lack of settings is also disappointing. Game is locked to a 16:9 aspect ratio and you can't change the resolution to another aspect ratio, so I have to play in windowed mode at a very low resolution so that nothing is cut off.

Gameplay is alright, but nothing special. Would have been better if there was more variety in the weapons or less predicatble boss battles. Oh, and the final boss is completely out of line with the rest of the game, really weird mechanic for defeating it. I kind of get what they were trying to do but they executed it very poorly.

Characters are annoying as hell, the dialogue makes my ears bleed. The story was written by a fourth grader for his first english class assignment, and character development is non existent. I didn't buy this game for an in depth story, but just an FYI that there is none.

The mini games are fun for a couple minutes, there is one where you fight wave by wave, which is kind of what I was hoping for to be honest.

Would not recommend this game at full price of $20, no way. Maybe if it goes on sale for $5 you should pick it up. You're better off playing the original Typing of the Dead instead, maybe one day they'll bring that to Steam.

If you like playing games about a blue alien kid with Bobby Hill's voice going on an acid trip though a land made out of french fries, amusement parks, and a giant human heart that's powered by sorting beans, you will like this game.

A pure nostalgia trip, plain and simple. Game is a lot shorter than I remember, but that might be because the last time I played it I was 7 years old. Still fun though, puzzles are neat. A lot of detail went in to the artwork and there's a billion little "easer egg" things to click on and watch some short animations. I didn't even know there were different ways to play through the game, the endings are the same but the story is randomized, which is cool for a 14 year old game.

There might be some replayability but like I said the game is short, like an hour or so per play.

Game has a good balance and overall it's a pretty solid game, however it's basicaly a 100% mulitplayer game and there aren't too many players around. There are a couple guns that are OP and the AI is terrible at engineer but if you have a full team and are using VOIP for teamwork it ends up being a pretty fun game.
