TL;DR: Open world danganronpa meets lovecraft, yes, it´s as weird as it sounds

So... this is an open world-ish sleuth game, and that´s a weird enough genre mixing, but add to that a lovecraftian-meets-vaporware setting and you are in for quite a ride. You need to solve a locked room mystery that happens in an interdimentional island, on the surface is quite simple: you go around exploring this bizarre place while talking with suspects and looking for clues, but both of those things are really engaging, suspects are really cool characters with interesting designs and personalities, and you can even spend time with each of them to get to know them better and unlock hidden dialogues and leads, and on the other hand you need to be looking for clues hidden around the island, but you also need to be looking for blood gems (the currency, also used for fast-travelling, it´s a limited but abundant resource), collectibles, sidequest items, secret entrances, and even mobility upgrades (like double jump, yes), there are also puzzles scattered around in computers you need to hack and things like that (they are simplistic but serve their purpose and manage to complement the exploration and interrogation parts wonderfully ).

I must admit I´m a bit of a hoarder in games so having my currency being used for fast-travelling struck me as quite annoying at first... but soon enough I was swimming in blood gems and I also got to know the island well enough to plan out my routes and fast travels with as much care and efficiency as possible, so if that sounds like a bad idea to you I urge you to try out the game anyway.

Once you finish getting all the clues you want (not "need", want, the game is entirely open to you finishing your investigation whenever you please, even if you barely scratched a glimpse of the truth and blamed a scapegoat just for fun) you then proceed to the trials, in which you must prove who did what with the evidence you collected up until that point, but as the climax of the game I must admit they were somewhat disappointing, specially coming from games like ace attorney or danganronpa, but I enjoyed them nonetheless and the amount of variations that could occur based on your evidence and your accusations more than makes up for that in my opinion.

Overall I´d say this is one of the weirdest murder mysteries I´ve ever experienced, but it´s also full of charm, maybe a little rough around the edges but if anything of what I´ve been describing seems appealing to you I urge you to give it a chance
