I tried playing with my friends, connection lost 20 minutes into a mission. The game is very much meant to played with others so connection stability is paramount. Pretty much everything rides on that. Until they fix that, I cannot recommend this game. Solo is a slog.

I cannot recommend the game as it is now. It has too many negative and frustrating pieces.
For example, in order to play matches, you must play the tutorial (I support this in objective team based games with lots of mechanics), but I cannot overstate how much information is being glossed over that is NECESSARY in order to play.

As lots of people have stated, there is no voice or text chat. Instead there is a ping system (which is not in the tutorial) that has no specific indication of who put the ping and what goal they had with it.

The game itself seems like it would have been done before, but the difference is in the pacing and visibly the art. The game feels amazing as every attack, hit, and evade your character does is important to the way you want to play. And speaking of playing, the different weapons in the game offer outstanding gameplay changes. You want to be able to run up to some one and slash as fast as you can? Sure, pick the machete. You want to smash stuff doing tuns of damage in as few hits as possible? Got your big ass hammer right here. I don't think I need to go into how good the narration and soundtrack is. A really good experience overall. Worth the 14.99 (at the current moment of this post). Pick it up whenever you feel like all your other games are stale.

The game is dispicable. UI feels cluttered, moving around the map is chore, and the class/level system would require a lot of personal research and questioning. If you want to understand what's going on in the story (and how to play), there's more reading than gameplay. In general, the game feels clumsy and not too pleasing to my eyes.

Good ol' BF2.

A really good first person melee fighter. Heavily based on personal skill. There is a very steep learning curve though and those that are better at the game are relentless.

I love this game, because it's unforgiving. The feeling of screwing up and getting mad, then later flying through with ease, is the real reward. Defeating overwhelming bosses, going through beautiful environments, and getting invaded by phantoms (PvP) all give the game is notorious name. Not for casual players.

It's a good length game, story is great, action gets stale if you grind, RPG elements are soft, but are ok because this is a side scrolling beat-em up/platformer. In all, I was emotionally touched at the end of the story, I had a blast playing through the game and going back to get the good treasures, and I would recommend this to anyone who just wants to sit back and play a game that doesn't require too much intense keyboard action (I used a controller).
