Probably my favorite fighting game at the moment. It's everything one could ever want out of a HEMA fighting game; physics-based combat using real historical techniques, battles that more often then not end in draws because of that, multiple different schools of fencing represented by each character, and an easy to learn hard to master control scheme, with much more content coming down the pipeline with future updates.

I highly recommend this game for anyone who's interested in HEMA, history as a whole, or they're just looking for a solid weapon-based fighting game.

I've been following this game's development since 2015, ever since I saw the first devblog showing off the combat I was absolutely enthralled with this game. Being a former Chivalry player, seeing the devs talk about how they wanted to remove the various exploits that plagued Chivalry was fantastic, not to mention the attention to detail and historical accuracy of the combat, arms, and armor.

I can 100% say this game was absolutely worth the wait. It is everything I'd dreamed it would be and then some, and this game still has more content on the way. The combat is fluid and smooth with tons of nuance, the customization is deep and rewarding, the graphics are pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good and the game is pretty well optimized to boot. I have enjoyed every single second of this game and if you are a former Chiv player, a fan of HEMA, or just a fan of good multiplayer melee games, I'm confident you will too.

I cannot recommend this Hideo Kojima game enough.

A alpha that shows a lot of potential. This game so far is fantastic, the combat is quck, brutal and satisfying. The graphics are good, although not on the levels of some newer games. The art style is nice aswell. The character controls very well and splitscreen vs. battles work seamlessly with controllers. Overall this alpha gets a 8/10, it still has some bugs to work out but otherwise a great buy.
