EA have taken the phrase "bare minimum" to heart with the FC franchise in recent years. The game will always be some level of fun just because it's a football game but unless you get this game on sale don't bother getting it.

There's definitely some things for the game to improve on still, mainly to do with the need for better tutorials to give a clear idea of each role and even some character tutorials would be nice. I also don't like how in a party there's no ready up feature its just first person to search forces everyone into the game whether ready or not.

That being said this game is incredibly fun and exciting to play, and I must add that it seems that the developers take feedback seriously as I took a break from this game a while ago and have come back to massive balance improvements and features to keep each game fresh.

Best of all the game is free and isn't pay to win so honestly why not give this game a try?

After months of slowly rolled out updates I'll change my review. I would basically consider this game like its in early access. Playable, but with plenty of issues still which is pretty sad when the game was fully released I think 4-5 months ago. I enjoy ranked in any game so BB3 has enough to satisfy me but if you're looking to play against the AI don't bother (seriously DON'T). Right now I'd say if you can get this game at a big discount then the game should be enough value for money, if you can't then in about 3-4 more months I think the game might be in the state it should have been on release and because I feel the developers need to know that the state they released this game in was almost criminally bad I don't think in good conscience I can ever actually change this review to a thumbs up

The concept of this game is fantastic and for a long time it was so fun to play and it has to be said that balancing so that the killer and the 4 survivors all get a good chance at having fun isn't the easiest thing to achieve. However in recent times as a killer I just simply can't have fun anymore. I recently tried getting back into the game but what I found was that even with over 400 hours playtime I was having to try my very best to get wins using mechanics no new player would know anything about such as moonwalking and picking survivors up facing walls. The developers seem hellbent on making constant changes to benefit and buff survivors in every way possible while nerfing any killer that has an edge against survivors. If you are thinking of buying this game with 3 other friends to play survivor with then you'll probably get enjoyment out of this game still but if you're thinking of buying the game without other people or you want to try out the killers I'd say don't. The more recent changes this game has made are so disappointing and I really hope the developers will eventually realise that before everyone decides there's no point in being the killer which would obviously kill the game.
