FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is a thoroughly enjoyable and challenging experience all the way through its play time. If you're not into 40k, Boltgun is a fantastic introduction to the series. The enemies are interesting. They can range from simple human heretics all the way to greater daemons. The level design is fantastic, especially in this new DLC, and its pixel art style is enthralling (its also adjustable in the options, which is certainly a plus). I would highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to buy it because my only negative opinion of this game is that I it leaves me wanting to purge more heretics!

I should also add that this game does not hold your hand. It doesn't guide you through each of its levels with constant objective markers or dialogue telling you exactly where to go, like some of the negative reviews have eluded to. Just like the OG boomer shooters (such as DOOM), Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun lets you explore the levels on your own, and, in doing this, it allows for it's players to get lost in the game's levels. This certainly happened to me during my first playthrough. Eventually though, you find your way back to where you need to go (and maybe you find some of the games secrets along the way). Moments like these give are a nice break to the constant action of the game, and they certainly help the player see much more of the beautiful level design that the game has to offer.

10/10, would play again and again
