This game had a rough start (an all too common story these days), but with the release of the Immortal Empires Campaign, the game has begun to turn around greatly! There are still bugs to be squashed, but the game has finally turned around for the better IMO. The massive map with tons of diverse factions and playstyles makes for tons of replayability, and I hope it only improves from here.

Keep in mind however, it can be an expensive buy-in to achieve the "full" experience, as races and additional DLC usable in this game must be purchased from previous games in order to play them in Immortal Empires (still cheaper than the tabletop game lol). A very fun game for warhammer and strategy game fans alike, but probably not for those that value their wallet.

Not exacly a "positive" or "negative" review, more of a mixed one. Everyone else has probably said the exact same thing so I'll keep it brief.

Gameplay is super fun. Has very much a "Halo 3 Plus" feel to it. If you love halo or shooters there is much to enjoy paying this especially with a squad of friends. Being free to play also means you don't have much to lose giving it a shot.

However, slow and hyper specific progression challenges feel intrusive and grindy. The online store is atrocious as everything is very overpriced and customization is hyper restricted compared to previous halo titles without spending some cash. All this kinda dampens the overall experience, making you feel pressured to play certain ways and grind. Hope they fix this soon as of the time of writing this review.

Me Grug, Barbarian.
Me like DOOM.
Me like Dark Souls.
Me like Dark Messiah.
Me like crush skull.

You like these things?
You get too.
Then you smash good,
Smash fast.
Be strong barbarian like Grug too.

Smash-Skull quest no last long though.
Only 3 kill-places, wish had more places to kill good in.
make Grug sad, wanted more kill.
Still Grug had fun crushing skulls, for low gold cost for pilgrimage rights.
Can replay quest in kill-places in new quest/pilgrimage+.

Grug give good hunt out of yes.
Fellow tribe-clans go purchase with loot-gold.
If like above things.
And no mind short-length quest pilgrimage.

Early Access Review
A fun, regularly updated game with a fun community and more planned content on the way as of writing this review. Play it with friends or chill out mining and fighting alone with your AI companion BOSCO if you're into that sort of thing (like me, an edgy lone wolf Minecraft player on occasion). With randomized caves to sift through and various mission types with their own random modifiers, and plenty of customization options and upgrades to work towards with 4 unique classes, it is never a dull moment working at Deep Rock Galactic. Very fun game that is a clear labour of love by the devs, and especially fun to play with friends on occasion. If anyone is interested in digging holes and shooting bugs in surprisingly diverse cave biomes, you won't find much better than this.

Also, space dwarves fighting space bugs and being racist towards unseen space elves. Cool stuff me like.

SOULCALIBUR 6 is a fun fighting game and serves as a soft-reboot to the series, probably in an attempt to bring in more players. The game surprisingly comes with 2 solo modes (3 if you count the obligatory arcade) that are fairly lengthy in content, though some may find it can get slightly repettitive towards the end or have inconsistency in difficulty.

The story is of course a re-telling of earlier Soulcalibur games with minor differences. Fighting games in general often carry the stigma of having lackluster stories, since it often boils down to bare-bones motivations to force as many characters as possible to fight each other over almost anything, and this game sadly doesn't do too much to avoid the common cliches of fighting game stories. Still, in this game I feel for every lackluster character story there is usually another rather interesting one in how it better develops the background for these long-loved fighters, and despite the shortcomings still had a blast revisiting the interesting fantasy/alternate-history world of Soulcalibur.

Alongside that and the fun multiplayer is a feature that has seemingly become standard practice with the soulcalibur series is the Create-A-Soul (CAS) mode, where you can create completely original and highly customizable characters based on existing weapon/movesets that can then be used in multiplayer or the solo story, as well as customize the existing cast in alternate costumes, making for an imaginative experience (though most people prefer to just remake characters from other series or memes. Which is fine by me.)

Soulcalibur was one fo the first fighitng game series I ever played as a young lad so it holds a special place in my heart and I can only hope it continues to find success in the future, despite fighting games being often overshadowed in sales and attention when compared to other bigger-budget games. Even if you don't care for online fighting-games, with a couple of friends or a creative mind you'll still find some worth out of this game with it's private lobbies, CAS creator mode and solo modes.

For Honor was a game I always had my eyes on for a long time, but due to my (probably biased) distrust of Ubisoft's business practices pertaining to the game I held off, only trying out during the beta and free weekends with a couple friends. We enjopyed the combat system very much, since it felt like a unique take on a fighting game style formula in that you play unique characters with different fighting styles and combos, playing to outsmart and outmaneuver your opponents. Unfortunately the heavy pricing, imbalances, outrageous grind for gear and cosmetics and bad matchmaking and hosting ultimately turned us off to the concept beyond our quick fun matches.

Fast forward to nearly a year later when I decided to cave in and buy the full game during the Apollyon's Wolves event, and I'm pleasantly surprised. From my limited experience thus far, the game seems a lot more stable then it was in terms of having servers and reworked characters, and a much more fair currency system that doesnt make you want to pull your hair out with grinding only one character for ever. That being said it still doesn't seem perfect as I've noticed some potential lag issues from time to time (though that could just be my own inconsistent ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet), and considering all this game still garnered somewhat of a cult following even through its "dark times", as one might expect from a fighting game-esque community, they can be niche but dedicated and intense.

Due to this, the barrier for entry can still feel rather high for newcomers from what i've experienced and witness of others, as they might find themselves stomped into the dirt by veteran players, forced to work in the toxic saltmines of "Git Gud" until they grow strong, or rage quit forever. Still, though I consider myself a meek filthy casual when it comes to competitive online games, I still found myself drawn to the unique fighting system and character customization and had fun regardless of it all (though admittedly I ended up cowering into solo vs AI modes often for funsies when I wanted to take a break from players, i'd imagine this game is leagues btter with friends who play it).

All in all, For Honor is a game that has improved largely from it's messy and questionable beginnings though for some people those changes came too little too late. Still, if anything in this game remotely interests you despite it's history, 'd still recommend this game to you if it goes on sale. Like most "fighting games" (If I'm allowed to still call it that) I've played with friends, it'll usually boil down to to a "Love it or Hate it" type game depending on your interests.

Oh and I guess there's some single player(also co-op) campaign story loosely tied to the online faction war gimmick about some reimagined post apocalyptic knights, samurai and vikings killing each other because of some war-obsessed grandma idk. I'm just here for the salt memes and the cool looking dudes.

If you and your friends starved for something Left 4 Dead-esque and/or like Warhammer Fantasy, then this game should be one of your top choices. Played since the first game and the general gameplay plus loot system was enough to keep me and my friends interested for a long time. With upcoming mod support as well as plans for future expansions, the possibilities seem much grander than the original. The learning curve is difficult starting out but definitely rewarding as you make you way up the difficulty levels. The loot system is relatively straightforward, although certain statistics arent fully explained and can prove to be a peeve to stat-nerds like me. Once more If you and your friends are looking for a new fun, challenging co-op game then I can't recommend this enough, especially for the price.

Only complaints I have are that the dev team can be a little slow when it comes to fully balancing all class/weapon options, and as of the release a fair amount of bugs from the beta seem to have either persisted or evolved (though I have yet to encounter anything game-breaking). However if Vermintide 1 taught me anything is that the dev team listens to the community and will surely (if sometimes slowly) address all the issues I had with the game as they support it going forward.

Relaxing and interesting are the best words I can describe for this game. Sure it's set in some parody dystopian cyberpunk future with some potentially heavy discussions to bring up depending on yourself, but overall its just a nice game to sit back and read some stuff.

I also can't help but feel this game doesn't get as much attention as I feel it should, probably because it's visual novel-esque, but I'd say its definitely worth one's time if they like the idea of playing as essentially a side character in a bunch of other character's stories.

Also anime girls I guess.
