Nope. Randoming is OK imo. I can pretty much play every hero with no problem except meepo who I didn't practise enough. When noone is picking and I don't have an idea what to pick I'll random. If I get support I can easily buy everything team would want from a support. If I get a carry, mid or offlane additional stats/regen is always helpful. It depends from your hero pool, and when you random, so I wouldn't consider that as a bad thing.
