Tekken 8 is one of the most fun fighting games I've ever played, and I've been playing the Tekken series for my entire life, as well as all the other famous fighting series. The quality of animation, the thoughtfulness and personality put into each character, the graphics and the sound design are all top of the line. The story has gone pretty bananas at this point, and I was more of a fan of the semi-serious tone of tekken 3-5, so while the story of 8 is enjoyable and hilarious, it leaves a bit to be desired where the amazing atmosphere of the old games excelled. A lot of the side characters are unfortunately pretty stagnant (Yoshi is still fighting Bryan, Paul and Law still want money and act like idiots, etc.) But thankfully the newcomers are fantastic, Victor, Reina and Azucena fit right in with the old faves, and are super fun to play as.

One of my top 5 games of all time, if you haven't played Half-Life yet, the 25th anniversary update is the perfect time to hop in and experience it. It's not some old game you should play for nostalgia or to see the roots of the series, it stands up as a good game now, with amazing visual design, puzzles, action set pieces and cool twists. Run. Think. Shoot. Live.

Just adding my coin into the overwhelmingly positive fountain that is this game's reviews. It's amazing, worth full price.

Really breaks my heart to say this but at the moment I can't recommend, even though I'm enjoying the core gameplay and art very much. The monetisation practices are awful, the game is still a buggy mess a month after launch, and it is severely lacking in interesting content such as maps, unique class weapons, classes and non-premium cosmetics. If they properly address these issues I will gladly update my review, but for now I think the community should voice their concerns and hopefully save this game.

I followed this game for over a decade, my 12 year old brother wasn't even alive when Black Mesa was announced. Now it's a fully complete remake of Half-Life 1, one of my all time favorite games. I'm thrilled to have played it from beginning to end, and I think it does everything it set out to do. Sure, I have a couple of minor gripes but honestly I don't think we could have anything better, and the team's work has absolutely paid off. If you're a fan of any Source game, Valve, sci-fi, first person shooters or great atmosphere, do yourself a favor and play Black Mesa.

The deep, discoverable lore. The intense, controlled combat. The massive, well designed bosses. The creepy and beautiful monsters. The large selection of weapons and armor. The subtle story telling and amazing atmosphere.

Everything Dark Souls One had which made it great is found here, with better graphics, cool new bosses and more engaging questlines and choices. It may lack the genius connectivity that the original game had, but it also references bloodborne and Demon's Souls, so that's a plus.

Way, way better than Dark Souls 2, I think this is the true sequel to One, and the proper ending the series needed. I'm really looking forward to seeing what From Software makes next, but I hope they do something very different. I would love to see where their twisted animation and beautiful designs could bring us.

I cannot say definitively whether I like INSIDE or LIMBO better, but they are both among the best games I have ever played. If you like ambience, atmosphere, puzzles, horror, limbo, owellian dystopia or amazing visuals, get this.
