Literally SWAT 5 with its own soul and wit, and it's a grand ride all the way through
The game encompasses everything that I wanted out of a SWAT sequel, and more. Bear mind that this atmospheric, almost horror-like game with minute attention to details that send a shocking message, first started out as a PvP demo/prototype thingy back in 2018-19. The fact that the game made such a grandiose shift in tone and presentation is striking and worthwhile; it even surprised my own expectation, despite following the project for several years as I saw its transformation.

A final "hoorah" as it is, before a new era is ushered in with F1's 2022 regulation changes. After playing 2019 and 2020 extensively on PS4 and this latest release on PC, I feel safe to say that this is the best version of what will soon be a long-gone generation prior to the sleek modernized upgrade that the world's fastest racing cars receive in the 2022 season.

That being said, there are flaws: Being as this is the first Codemasters-EA partnership release, certain features were cut whilst other "new" aspects appear to be half-baked. There are no more unique driving experiences such as the classic/historical F1 cars, and although the splendid career mode with MyTeam makes a return, I feel as though the R&D and team-building components are slightly dumbed down from the previous year. Management was streamlined, and the massive R&D tree from 2020 has been reduced to straight columns without much room for interpretation as to what the upgrades will affect and the possibilities they open up in the future.

The new "story mode" is... terrible! It has no character nor personality to be worthwhile, and its content revolves around what are basically time trials on the same maps that even beginner players would already be familiar with. Do yourself a favor and stick with the ecstatic and high-velocity action present in the already-pristine career mode.

That being said, I'm both excited and scared about the upcoming 2022 release. The joy comes from being able to virtually sit in the seat of F1's new snazzy looking cars that look and (assumingly) drive better than ever before. However, now that Codemasters is under the umbrella of EA, I feel as though the charm in the handling and the joys of making your way to the top might be slightly impeded by the general corporate bloat of microtransactions, questionable downgrades, and the pursuit of other avenues rather than improving on an already-successful and established formula since 2016 onward.

In short, this is a fantastic racing game, and handsdown one of the best experiences. Career is a blast, rivalries are as tense as ever, and the handling is as natural as it is easily adaptable to your own liking.. I love it all.

Basically KF, which is aight

This is honestly the most fun I had in any first person shooter ever. Funny, clunky physics paired with massive singleplayer chaos all for a relatively nice and low price.

>After a long battle that lasted almost half an hour, decides to loot the bodies
>Heavy weaponry that I was attacked with has been replaced with every bottle of vodka known to man

This is possibly one of the best games known to mankind. It made me bust a nut about 15 times in 2 seconds.

A game made by the same guys who made Gunpoint but, instead of flinging yourself out of windows and dying, you throw wrenches at yourself and... die...

In all seriousness, this is a spectacular game that has everything I wanted in a space stealh-action game. Great mechanics, highly replayable, and a "legend" system that places your characters on a pedestal. I have some gripes with the procedural generation of the ships, as well as some AI issues, but they're very minor, and I have no problem living with them.

This game is a true masterpiece. The "action" sequences are so challenging. The only thing I hate about them is the quicktime events and the boss stages. Otherwise a true masterpiece.

The story is fantastic too. Controls are so simplistic, you can play with one hand if you wish.

10/10 Best "Shooter"
