Definitely nails the gothic horror aesthetic. A few jump scares, but not too many and pretty tame. The puzzle mechanics are cool.

Just a heads up, I got a headache playing it for too long of a stretch because of the screen orientation changing. If that kind of thing makes your head hurt, just make sure to take breaks.

This puzzle game has wonderful vibes; the music is nice and keeps me in the zone. Each world/level makes good use of scaffolding to introduce and teach mechanics. All of the levels felt like they ramped up in difficulty at an appropriate rate and were fun right up until World 6 for me. World 6, while it introduces a very neat, ingenious mechanic idea, feels rather tedious. I found myself feeling frustrated more than I was having fun. It is still worth a purchase if you like puzzle games, as this one is very well developed. Some people may have more fun with World 6 than I did. (It might even have been that I played it for too long of a stretch and needed a break in order to give my brain a refresh.)

edit: nope, I still hate the recording mechanic. game felt like a slog every time I had to use that mechanic. Neat in concept, not fun for me in practice.

very soothing and relaxing. music is fantastic and the physics and wind make me feel like I'm flying. I love this game. very very worth the full playthrough.

It doesn't feel like other FPS and battle royales. Feels unique and quite fun!

I do see what a lot of the reviews were saying. Shelter 3 does not live up to Shelter 1 and 2, especially not 2. I saw some reviews being hyperbolic saying it "ruined" the whole series for them. That is not the case for me. It still is a beautiful world, with a sweet (though short) story. As a fan of the Shelter series, while I am a bit let down by this chapter, I still enjoyed the art, sound, and music design. It does not, however, have much of the replayability of the others.

I recommend this game only if you are a fan of the Shelter series and want to support this game studio. Or if you are like me, and want to complete your collection of Shelter games, music, and ebooks.

If you are new to the Shelter series, do not start with this one, as it may bias you against the series as a whole. It is not their best work, but I still appreciate the attempt at going a new direction with the game.

I've had this game on my wishlist for a while. When I found out my brother had a physical copy I flipped out and we played it a bunch when on vacation! He noticed how excited I was about it and gave me the coupon for the digital copy (about 30% off I believe) that came with the physical copy!! I am addicted to this game. It's really well designed in both versions! Can't wait to throw thousands of hours into this game! (As of this review, I kind of forgot that sleep was a thing thanks to this game... it's 2am now.) I honestly think this game is worth spending the normal price for, and I plan to buy copies for friends!
