I haven't broken into tears like I did tonight for any other game. Or even for anything in these past years really. Such a deep exploration of themes and dilemmas intruding the mind of every single one of us humans, with some good old Hussie humour on top that makes it all seem extremely silly, while still hitting hard depending on how much you decide to get invested and immersed on the story.
Well bravo Hussie, I just shed tears tonight like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ baby because of your visual novel.

If you're on the fence about buying this game I tell you, just do it.

A little caution though, you liking it or not depends on how much self-awareness you have about the world we are living in and how much you can invest yourself on a fictional story tearing it apart with absurd hilarity. It also depends on how much you like clowns and jpeg.

10/10

If you love old styled shooters from the 90s, if you're just wanting to catch a break from the current AAA modern games and their tendencies or if you want to have mindless FUN blasting foes around corners, I recommend you buy this game.
A very action packed experience from start to end, while you explore different areas with extremely polished and well designed maps, well hidden and numerous secrets and an inmersing atmosphere with a badass electronic soundtrack.
The game is far from perfect with it's dated BUILD engine, but it utilizes the engine better than any other game has done until now, truly revitalizing the trend for good old styled shooters from it's core.
The arsenal might look a bit dissapointing at the beginning, but if you give it time, cycle through the weapons enough and learn how to use their alternative fires, you will find each has their place when facing certain enemies and tactical advantages in certain situations.
Got dangerous enemies behind cover? Blow them up with enough charged homing Bowling Bombs. Got an enemy that is chasing you relentlessly? Mow them down with the chain gun. Got an absurd amount of mixed enemies in a specific place? Use the secondary fire for the Clusterpuck or hold the one for the Ion Bow for a violent KILLING SPREE.
No matter what, just EXPERIMENT, have FUN, and keep SHOOTIN'. What are you waiting for?

I never thought my first visual novel game would be... so intense.
It's a good thing games like this one exist, makes you proud of how creative some game developers can get even with simple stuff. I'm not even into visual novels and it's one of the most vivid game experiences I've had.

Warn you, as it is a Visual Novel (genre I'm not very experienced with) "Doki Doki Literature Club!" is a ONE WAY game. What I mean with this is that your first complete walkthrough matters the most, it will leave THAT special imprint. Which means, you should try to get into it as fresh and unspoiled as possible. Don't search for it on google, don't search for it on youtube. Stop asking your friends why they insist you so much to play it. Just go and play it, it's FREE

Doki Doki has lovely characters some people will be able to relate to, some obvious and some hidden life lessons, as well as surprises and unexpected twists. Go now and have some fun, the Literature Club is waiting for you!

10/10 but please, consider the game's intro warning seriously.
