While I played Tropico 4 first, I was amazed to see some gameplay mechanics explained better here, on Tropico Reloaded, compared to its later version. Moreover, a lot of its core mechanics are still present in the later versions, so I could imagine that this game was quite revolutionary for its time.

However, it has not aged well. Its graphics are old, its controls clunky, and it is generally quite cluttered. Nevertheless, it still has its cheeky humor and amazing music, so it might be worth checking out - if only for old times' sake.

Otherwise, just grab a one of the newer versions instead, such as Tropico 4.

Short game, beautiful art, great voice acting, plenty of 70s feels, interesting time travel mechanic.

10/10 would buy a rainbow-frosted hot lava slushie deluxe (with a twist) again.

Emily Is Away is just a show of watching yourself get friendzoned because you're unable to say what you really want to say to a girl you like. It annoyed me that the backspaces had to happen, but I guess that's what we get from the safety of the Internet - the ability to filter ourselves too much. But hey, you get to do that while typing nonsense on your keyboard, booting up with your favorite Windows XP soundtrack, and enjoying a pixelated AOL screen, so there's that.

But do go for the avatar achievements. They're great.

So I listened to a guy ramble about a date he's looking forward to, dipped bread in soup, had a few glasses of wine, smoked cigarettes, and stared at Dinosaur Comics. I was about to drop this "game" (AKA monologue where you press random buttons) into the abyss of forgotten memories, when I found the review section. That's when I knew I hit gold.

Come for the game, but stay for the reviews. That's where the true entertainment lies.
