I do think this game is very good so far but I have not been able to carry out a full playthrough due to frequent crashes every 5-10 minutes. I gave up in the end chapter because I was so fed up of the crashes. So 100% get this game if you are sure that your pc will not conflict with the game in any way.

Early Access Review
This game ended up in my steam libary because the premise of the game sounded fun, I had never heard of the game despite playing the rake. I was nervous at first about buying the game but soon learned It was not a mistake.

The game generally delivers in what it promises, a large open map to explore that has locations specifically desgined to tie in with the gameplay. Bigfoot's AI is pretty decent actually sometimes it gets caught on the map's blocked areas but apart from that it's pretty smart at avoiding survivors and taking you by suprise when you least expect it.

I think one thing the game excells in is it's item management system, the very concept of having limited supplies is enough to make any comeptent player think about their actions especially when all items must be used carefully, mainly the weapons though.

Some other things that compliment this title is the inclusion of a body warmth mechanic which the less superior game the rake did not have, this creates another problem the player must consider, it also restricts and extreme agressive playstle wich in my opinion is a good thing. The ability the place cameras in any position is a great step up from the Rake and reallly offers a lot of creativity in how you track down the beast.

Finally the extra wildlife, this addition emerses the player in the game in the world and makes it a much more realistic and enjoyable experience.

Overall I would most likley recommend this game to most people as it really appeals to most audiences. For a small developer team this game is very impressive and im intrigued to see where this game goes in the future.

On thing I would appreciate the game to eventually implement is more maps but I do understand why this is a big ask as most people do not realise that creating an entire map is very difficult. However it would be very enjoyable to have a desert or jungle type map to play on

Subnautica truly is an amazing game, the atmosphere and everything, all of it, all combines to make one masterpice of a game. Nearly endless stretches of explorable environment, an engaing story, loads of creatures to find and identify, vehicles and bases to build and the constant fear of what lurks in the water.

Subnuatica really captures the futuristic and mysterious feel that so many games fail at whilst combining it with the best survival mechanics I have ever seen. Another top quality thing about the game is that anyone can play and enjoy it! It really is not aimed at a certain demographic and can appeal to a wide variety of people.

Really the almost 20 pounds this game charges is a really fair price especially since newer games are heading up to prices like 50 pounds it's quite a bargin!

Personally with my experience with subnautica its been great, making you think 24/7 about every action you take and what lurks beneath the water.

I would reccomend this to everyone no matter what their tastes are. (apart from if youre super scared of the water then its the worst idea ever to play this game)
