The negative reviews came out before the major update that changed everything, read the description, don't let the mixed review status discourage you, this game is good.

You don't see a lot of Half-Life mods publicly displayed on the Steam store.
And you don't see many Half-Life games with the same quality as the original games.

I wish it was true to the visual novel type, where it doesn't get creepy.
If it wasn't like it was, maybe Doki Doki would be something more, cute? fun? maybe it would be the true ending in Team Salvato's new game if it was cute and fun and, etc. I know it's a cool way of breaking the forth wall and giving us clues on the new game coming out, but if this was remade into something more happy, I would love it.
The girls are amazing and i don't want anytihng bad to happen.
