I was eyeballing this game for a while, and sat on the fence for at least a few months. When the last sale came around and it was marked at $15, I said hell with it and picked it up. Seven days later, I've logged about 82 hours in, and dragged a few friends with me.

There isn't much for me to complain about with this game, as it feels like a continuation of Freelancer to me, something I adored back in the old days.You can do just about whatever you want, however the game makes sure you understand that there are consequences. Declaring a faction? Congradulations - everyone else now hates you. Piracy? The local government/factions want your head. Spending almost all your credits on upgrading your ship, only to die while cruising to another station? You get knocked back to the basic Sidewinder as you can't afford the cost of your ship's insurance.

This game is very unforgiving at times and it does have a fairly steep learning curve. The only real advice I can give is do not start playing this using a keyboard and mouse setup. Plug in a controller or joystick of some kind.

Other than that, this game is a blast to play, especially when you wing up with a buddy to rack up some bounties.

Pros - It's Payday.
Cons - With this on sale, there are ALOT of new players, don't count on being able to stealth...well anything, unless you have a 4man group you know.
