Where to start, where to start... From first impressions my single word descriptor for this game would be: Ambitious.

There is really a wide spread of varied gameplay loops to immerse yourself in, from crafting, to custom potion brewing, to village development, smithing, fishing, cooking, the list goes on...

There's also already an extensive library of skills, spells and abilities to play around with and find interesting combinations. Basically- the framework of this game is extensive and I very much expect it to grow into it's shoes.

Now, currently, while the content provided is spread over many areas, it is in need of more depth. If, however, you'd enjoy watching an interesting game develop over time I'd highly recommend picking it up.

In terms of whether or not it's worth your money, I'd say within the first 3 hours of gameplay I would be satisfied paying about half the asking price (Which I did purchase at 50% off). Now at around 6 almost 7 hours in I would say it's just about broke even at 20$. And if this game ever features multiplayer co-op? It'd quite literally be a no-brainer insta-purchase.

Overall in it's current state, bugs and all, I'd say it's a solid 6.5/10 with room to improve over time. Worth the money, and worth watching to see where it goes.

For those on the fence...

I really just want to distill this as clearly as I can for the people who are feeling indecisive.

Buy Kodon... if you have the money to spare...

I'll start out with the bad and work my way into the good.

Kodon is unfinished-- unfinished and uncertain on it's future. The devs have been radio silent for 8 months. Not even so much as an announcement in their discord telling us what's going on.

Kodon also has glaring save/export issues that keep it from truly fitting into place as a professionals tool of choice. BUT, that being said, it's by far the easiest, most intuitive and creatively freeing VR sculpting software I've used.

It might not have every bell and whistle that ShapeLab or Adobe Substance Md has (I've tried both), but in my opinion that's what makes it great. It has just enough to be an incredibly powerful sculpting tool but not so much that it overwhelms you and freezes your creative process because you're stuck moving sliders around in a menu.

Where Kodon really shines is being a creative outlet, ShapeLab and Substance Md feel like spending an hour setting up an art table, with all your different pencils, paints, pastels, papers, and pens. Where as Kodon is your sketchbook and that really nice pen set you just bought. Sometimes, you just want to doodle and sketch and not be burdened by the complexity of the medium. Kodon can doodle you into creative flow.

So to sum things up; Kodon may be limited by it's quirks, but is a fun and intuitive piece of software to use, I can highly recommend you pick it up if you are just looking for an outlet to your creativity. However if you're a professional looking for VR sculpting software that you will rely on every single day for work, maybe start with ShapeLab and pick up Kodon as an accessory later. Not every artist needs a full art table, but every artist should own a sketchbook kind of deal... just- maybe you wanna wait until this sketchbook stops occasionally losing pages...

The name is rather misleading as I've found this game is actually about learning how to swim.

WARNING THIS GAME IS HARD.

Like. Not hard in the sense that you might struggle for 30 minutes before figuring out the controls. Hard as in cases can take you 2-3 hours, can have little to no evidence and you end up being unable to solve them after sinking in half your soul and a can of monster.

Truly this game makes you feel like a toddler who watches too much Blue's Clues put on a fedora and started looking for the Zodiac killer. All in all after 11 hours I have solved exactly ONE case and failed to solve 3. All of which took an exorbitant amount of time and energy; not to mention the one I did end up solving was the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial case.

However even after the dissatisfaction of failing yet another case, I can't help but want to play more of this game. It really is a captivating game. You can't help but get sucked into the world building and the simulated lives of each citizen. Truly can't get the same from any other game out there.

Of course the game being early access there are plenty of bugs and annoying things that need to be ironed out and some things like how CCTV footage is only stored for 2 days can add a lot of time pressure on solving cases, as sometimes CCTV footage is the ONLY bit of evidence that solves a case and if you don't get around to checking 3-4+ locations worth of footage right away you can very easily soft lock yourself out of solving a case.

This is especially annoying as there is no way of telling whether or not a case is still solvable because TEHCNICALLY no case is unsolvable, however when you lack literally any lead and you ran out of time to get CCTV evidence you're kind of reduced to investigating any and all tangentially related people to the victim.

I've clearly still got a ton to learn about this game, and I'm sure there are tips and tricks to solving cases faster/easier. But be warned there is DEFINITELY a learning curve ahead.

All things said, I genuinely can't wait to see this game's future and highly recommend jumping on the bandwagon now! For the price this game is an absolute steal and it would be a shame not to support this underappreciated level of creativity in today's game industry.

In a world where demonic screeching rabbits roam the streets... well... street. With nothing but the urge to drive and the hours of sitting with a full bladder, you find yourself wandering the wastes in search for your mother's house.

But with no sign of anyone.... or clean restrooms, will you be able to find her? Will the radio host ever chat himself to death? Will you ever stop driving?

Only time will tell if you can once again know the sweet embrace of your mother's clean toilet seat.

PPG "Gore sandbox heaven" 10/10

Bash, crush, stab, beat, bruise shoot and bomb "Test dummies" to your hearts content. With a variety of items, weapons, vehicles, technology and complex death circuit creating there isn't anything not to love about this game. Would 100% recommend, it's good to let out a little steam every now and then.

PPG started out a little light on content and kind of buggy, but with frequent quality updates (seems to be every 2-4 weeks)I am very happy to say it's really shaped up to be a great and gory sandbox game. The dev(s?) seems to really care about this little project and I think with the dedication shown there will be plenty more to see from this game. Overall it's an outstanding buy in my opinion especially if you are into this genre, you definitely get your money's worth.

That's it for my review 100% a 10/10 from me, hope this helped anyone on the fence about purchasing the game! Later y'all.

This game is absolutely outstanding hands down one the best I've played in years. I went in completely blind (would recommend you do the same) and it was completely amazing, I fell in love instantly and could not stop myself from playing for hours. To anyone interested I would absolutely recommend purchasing this game It's more than worth the price!

Edit: It's been a couple years since my original review. Development of this game still creeps along at a snails pace, but there has been some significant changes along the way. I will say that it's still quite a ways away from being what it's envisioned to be; the game as of current is still a glorified murder simulator and lacks any real substance outside of brutality. When I had originally purchased the game I enjoyed the aspect of the simple gory gameplay loop with the hope that actual content would be added soon to flesh (pun in tended) things out. Though that does seem to be happening little by slow, right now I'd compare it to early Blade & Sorcery gameplay where the only real pleasure in playing is killing. If that's your thing then great! But If you're not the senseless murder type then maybe don't buy this game.

Old Review: >>[
This game is wonderful lot's of gore and if you are a psychotic as most humans you will have a great time, HOWEVER! there is an apparent lack of content as of yet and there is not a whole lot to do. That can throw people off BUT it is receiving updates and more content at a decent rate and gives people ample warning that there isn't much to the game. So if you don't mind the price and are willing to wait for updates this game is for you. ]
