portal. how does a game manage to still hold up 18 years later

this is the closest i'll come to experiencing how the fall of the berlin wall felt. sort of

best 100 minutes i had over the free weekend. would buy if we all decided to do so

i genuinely wish the CTF (Capture the Flag) or DM (Deathmatch) servers were more active nowadays. It's mainly just a hit or miss nowadays if you're even able to find one server with players in it - either it's a clan server that instantly kicks you, or you've got the sweat of all time in your lobby. Rarely you can find a really nice and chill lobby of a few people. Trying to get my friends to play but they don't want to

only way i can recommend this is if you're a game developer looking for a game engine. other than that:

ive tried to like this and my friends will track my location 24/7 and forge a plan as a punishment for writing this review (just kidding) but i dont think this game does a good job at conveying how you're even supposed to do stuff. most of the levels you'll find other than the few old standard levels are horrendous to (sight)read, even on lower difficulties because almost everyone adds so many small details to their levels and makes everything blend together, thus missing the jump cues. i've not even mentioned the epileptic levels. oh no not the epileptic levels no not NO NO NO NONONONONO
