One of the best RTS games and city building out there. I find it more to do and to enjoy here with other games, like Manor Lords (which is also a good game). The feeling of always something to do or improve on your city, and defend, really plays different here.

Honest note here to devs :) - and suggestions.

TLDR - I am enjoying much more the game after last months of updates, but I would love to see more stuff that makes me care more about the village/city/tower to keep coming back or keep playing what I've built.

========================
I was not really enjoying the first versions. The "big combat" feature alone was not really something that could bring me back to the game. And that was true for a long time. What I missed (and I still miss) is the variation in the buildings or something in that sort... to make me care enough for the village, for the soldiers, etc... just spam soldiers and units is not really enough for me.
But after playing a lot more in the last week, giving more chances, trying to actually build something to care (even a good strategy, etc), my feeling got better with the game. The last updates were great, the attacks and the freedom that I can change my difficulty level are also great.

But I do think it still lacks a real reason to make me care enough - I can get the feeling I am trying to explain from a few games like Kingdoms and Castles, Farthest Frontier, They Are Billions and some others. And maybe this is not just the game for me, I know those games are different, but the lack of that feeling still exists here for me. So, a few suggestions to maybe make more interesting:

- Add maybe minor goals or events in each free map or endless maps;
- Add auto variations for the houses and other buildings: the terrain and vegetation are empty enough, but as soon as I build more stuff, it becomes even more bland;
- Add more stuff for the villagers, like decorations that matters to keep them in the village (not just simple decorations), or they might leave, or even stuff to make the battles more intense and make civilians react when a battle is won (I can't find this in any game) - just make the village more alive.

This is my opinion and I do understand that the game sold well and players like it, so maybe I'm just the one who wanted to see a bit more of it. Don't take this as a negative review, it is a good review, with some notes that I could see it becoming even better

I was enjoying a lot the updates (I just played when it launched, and now I got back to it).

BUT - in sandbox mode, I got stuck twice, same reason: I could not sleep because the game said I was in a quest, when I wasn't... so, I lost progress twice (and it was really bad, since I've done a lot that day).
One happened also when I got ambushed... but there was not a single enemy there, then the icon stayed forever on the map.

EDIT:
I know how to reproduce now: some quests (I think for me it was only the drug ones, that you need to help with drug delivery) if you open and do not accept, they might lock you up in that game state. So, try to reproduce that.

Good little game. Very indie. I did not find any real bugs. It has its challenges. Very short. For the price, buy if you want games like old resident evil.

So, just finished the game, with tons of hundreds ammo, items, etc, even with 30k+ gold in my storage LOL. I liked to use a lot the crossbow (you can get ammo back). Anyway, my first solid review in a long time:

TLDR
- Great game about hording/gathering and fighting enemies with different approach;
- You can die easily, but if you manage how combat works, it really becomes easy;
- The first boss was the hardest one. Second and third one were very easy -.-'
- Story is simple, enjoyable and quests are also easy to follow. No real highlight here;
- I loved the combat, loved the concepts and art style;

Pros:
- You can easily lose track of time when you are exploring and getting items. The game has much more items than you need if you are the exploring player type;
- The tons of different items and "artifacts" gives you different combat approach, but this is also a "Con" - explained below;
- Chapters are different enough for you to enjoy exploring, but the last one just felt a bit more "grinding" than fun;
- Different types of weapons for you to "feel" and select your play style. All of them, for me, enjoyable enough to clear the areas;
- I did have that feel about "one more run, one more search" you know, and this is great for me in a shooter game with open quests to solve on your own;
- Great fun trying to balance between your best souls/advantage items (I don't remember the name, but it is those ones that you keep activated);

Cons:
- Many items that you collect is really not needed to move on, feeling like waste of time and design here (like many potions that I never used, I did not really even care, because it made no sense to me);
- Map levels are big enough to have fun, but could have a bit more "traps", hidden spots with real treasures. You do have special items to collect, but some if just better to get with vendors;
- I did not have a real big challenge with "strong" enemies, it is the same approach to kill any other (you can also take advantage of some level design here and use exploits);
- No real replay value, it would be great if I could use my so "hard-earned" loot (I collected all great weapons, but at the end of the boss, just used one - I was so strong that, with a few shots, I killed the boss LOL). So all that feeling where you feel you were saving items, time, etc, is lost at the end. Shame on this part;
- I finished the entire Chapter 3 without dying - I was a bit disappointed.

But all in all - I highly recommend the game for the ones that enjoy a good shooter with freedom to explore and some different types of mechanics into their own lore and art style.

===== ORIGINAL REVIEW =====
One of the best "different" games I found out there. Classic FPS, but with deeper exploration and item collection. Good graphics for the style, lot's of fun while you explore and fighting. After you get used to it, it becomes easy, but depending on where you make a mistake, it will become a challenge again. Highly recommended.

Same as other bad reviews: not enough good maps, just random timers and RND factors ruins the game and real challenge. I made some more interesting maps myself, in my opinion. Maybe add more mechanics and real maps...

I've changed my review now that they delivered. Yes, AI team mates are MUCH better. Suspects are still hard AF, but manageable. It is a nice addition the officer management too (although it could be much more expanded).

I still would wait for a sale, price is too high. But we do have now a "new" SWAT game after Swat4. Good job.

==============
First original review:
Sorry to say this, but still has the same problems from months or years ago. There are many threads in the community about this, but the bottom line for me is: AI. Terrible. You can't play with AI team mates. They die too often, too stupid and the enemy AI are super ninjas, not realistic hard, but just can see through impossible stuff. But your team mates, they are the most frustrating thing in this game.

STOP DOING cosmetics, fix the AI. For the price it asks, stay total away.

One of the best war RTS. The funny part for me is: it seems much better than the original (Call To Arms), which is needed to buy this one LOL. Works better, bigger and better maps, etc. Better graphics and more polished, in my opinion.

If you are a RTS fan, give it a go.

The game is good, it can get repetitive at the beginning, but it gets better later. For the price, I think it is fair and I already spent 4h in it, started it over again just to try something different.

Pros:
- Good looking game;
- No bugs so far
- It feels like a restaurant, but in a simple way

Cons
- Gets repetitive (but I like the grind);
- It could have better ways to manage your staff (organize per type, etc);
- In mid game, the impression is that you need to hurry a lot of stuff. So, if you want to re-design your restaurant, you will have some hard time.
