The cost is leaving a sour taste in my mouth.
Yes the game is free.
Yes you can get every card for free.
but its just so expensive if you want to by anything.
For $99 = 8000 gold
800 gold gets you 1 card variant.
so your telling me that its $10 for art work?

Also no voice lines?

Game looks nice. match are ok.
Stratagy isn't the deepest but its still fun.
also its you gamble your lvl exp(cubes) when you play.
that by it self is actual kinda engaging, doubling down on a match and or bluffing on round 6 when you have nothing.

Do I like it yes.
Do I recommend it no. its a money sink, but not really pay to win.

Game is great!
If I had to complain it would be that i wish there were more head options.
But other than that its been wonder full to play.
Great characters and great story

Mash city skylines, Civ, Hearts of Iron, and Age of Empire.

Ok lets be fair. this has great bones, and might age well. but its not quiet there yet.

Do 'Solo' and you can easily get what’s needed to pull cards as a F2P player.
And Missions give out currency in decent amounts. NOTE: there are also Secret missions. Google them.
Well more than enough to pull most cards from at least 5+ Pack sets. (Assuming 3 10-pulls each)
The rates are really not bad.

However Rank is the main way to get resources continually after you exhaust that.
And the way to access pack sets is kinda a nightmare.
Things to do if your looking for something specific:
Pack Sets are only unlocked for 24 hours after getting one.
“Keys” to these are given when you either Craft or unpack a SR or UR card.
So if you want related cards pick an SR or UR in the deck editor. Check the “How to Obtain”
If it looks fine, craft one. Then spin the slot machine with your free currency.

And the scary thing is the prices if you're really desperate to play the slots some more.
No joke the prices will be steep if you fall into that money pit.

On one of the pages it tells you you can only have a max of 10k of the currency.
Do not worry, although the name looks scary this is only how much you can hold, not some scary max for the account.

do i feel the monetization is too pricey? yes.
has it become an issue? surprisingly no.
is the story good? its not the greatest story ever told but it feels like it actual trying to tell a good story.

So far ive left the starter area and the story has done a great job of being on point and making systems feel like they are at least there for story reasons.

have i fallen in to the money trap? yes.... not because its noticable diffent in combat. but i wanted a character.... and thats how they get your money.

I'm mixed I like this game but the prices are a bit unsavory....
like if some things were half the price....

I only was exited about this game, in anticipation of "Witch of Mercury"
Maybe they will adjust... companies usually dont... but i can still hope.
