Rocksmith got has gotten me into one of the biggest hobbies I've ever had. The base song list is pretty sparse at least for my taste in music, but the ability to use CDLC opens up so many options for even a budding guitarist. I always loved GH growing up and this game not only lets you play a video game, but gives you a real life skill as well. The last 8 months of my life have been consumed playing guitar, and I cannot recommend it enough for someone wanting to get into playing, or the veteran who just wants to jam out.

The minigames are a little meh, but for practicing scales and improv, session mode is key. I would definitely use other online sources to help open up your playing skills and learn theory to really know what's going on, but for learning songs? Rocksmith for me all day.
