I have enjoyed a good 230+ hours in this game, thanks to family sharing, and was very much looking forward to continuing that enjoyment with the milsim unit I had fallen in with. As of today, that is no longer possible.

However, I cannot in good conscience recommend any title that launches with family sharing enabled, only to turn around and silently disable it more than a year later.

If this is how Bohemia wants to be, then so be it. As the most infamous gaming streamer in the world at this time would say, Bohemia can eat my ENTIRE ass. The whole thing. Not only do I not want to buy into this, I am actively here to tell people not to. Sayonara.

If you have to get someone with 100+ levels to coach you in order to stand any chance whatsoever in combat, then it's not worth your time or your money.

Probably one of the best games I've ever played. If you like co-op gameplay, being dwarves, shooting horrible spiky monsters, and searching for shiny minerals, this is definitely the game for you. Also worth noting is that while it has a class system, you aren't forced to play a different class based on what the other players are using, although the most optimal strategy is usually to have one of each of the four, because it will reduce the resources you need to spend and the risks of falling damage you might otherwise be taking to reach ore veins in difficult spots. You can complete missions with any combination of classes, or you can try solo missions, though in solo missions you can only have up to 4 revives depending on the loadout you set up for the drone that comes with you in solo play. In multiplayer, you are not limited in this way. I have yet to encounter any bad apples playing this game, the community all seems really laid back and friendly, and the game also frequently goes on sale. You can unlock the vast majority of cosmetics just by playing the game normally, but there are also DLCs that each add lots of themed cosmetics, which is pretty much the only monetization there is beyond buying the game itself.

The progression system is fairly expansive, but the perk tree feels especially tedious.

You find a good server for what you want to do, or even just put together a mod collection for friends who play with you, and the potential is limitless. Highly recommend you give this game a try.

Alright so let me start this off by saying one of my buddies on a discord server pointed this game out to me last year or so when it was free for a brief time. I'd seen and heard quite a lot about Chivalry prior to that, so I jumped on the opportunity and more or less dove feet-first into the gameplay.

I've played each of the classes at least once, and the archer is my favorite of them all. Let me tell you, there is almost nothing more satisfying in this game than poking a Knight to death with your dagger, because it seems like a good 90% of the players expect archers to put up no fight at all once they get too close for them to make good use of their bows. It's kind of like what happens to you if you underestimate rogues in Dungeons and Dragons; That dagger might only do 1d4 damage, but if they catch you off-guard or foul up your footing, all you can do is grit your teeth and brace yourself for the 5d6 arse-reaming coming your way.

I have read quite a lot of reviews that complain about the infamous instakilling "rainbow" attack too, but I have yet to see it used very much outside of 1v1 scenarios (both impromtu 1v1s and dueling servers). More conventional dragging techniques, on the other hand, are far more common, as are feints, and that's perfectly fine. All you have to do is to more or less try to prepare for them.

Would I pay the full price for this game? Probably not, but then I'd say that about almost any game on the store. If you see it on sale, however, I would absolutely tell you to go for it. If you like games with a fairly high skill ceiling and full to the brim with utter chaos, you can hardly go wrong with this one.
